Hi again everyone, its been a while since I last posted and a lot has changed. I now don't have the credit card I was trying to pay off with the 1% challenge as I managed to move all of my credit card debts onto an interest free card which makes that card balance pretty huge now at around £8,000. As its interest free its not my biggest priority and I'm currently paying a bit over the minimum and paying off £200 a month.

So my new 1% challenge is my loan which has £4416 left on it so to make my 1% a round number I will say that 1% is £44.

I want to try and get this cleared before I emigrate to New Zealand next year. I've decided to start an exciting new life for myself! Until then I am planning to try to get some locum work which would mean that I would earn almost double what I'm currently earning so fingers crossed for that which I hope to start in a months time.

I shall be doing some ebay listing later to kick things off!

I am not sure if this is allowed but I have changed my plan of action. I have decided to tackle my Santander credit card debt 1st. I have just under £430 on it and am hoping that I can get it all paid off before Christmas. I have booked Thursday and Friday off work so am going to facebook and ebay like crazy.

I know 1% is only £4.30 but can't seem to get my head around the virgin one. It makes me feel sick!! I am hoping completing this one first will give me the motivation to tackle the large virgin one as it all seeming a bit daunting at the moment.

Everyone seems to be doing so well :)

I wanted to change my plan of action.
I just realised i have to pay back £202.00 back into my savings as I used that amount to purchase my Samsung tablet. I know the 1% is only £2.02 but at least it will help me to be more motivated to save that amount.

I wish to pay that back first before I worry about reaching £3,000.

I've already completed 2% of it and I have £1.03 left over to go towards the next £2.02

    Edit:
The actual amount I have to pay back is £209.00 I misread. Oh well it works out the same precentage.

And I've found an app for my phone where I can track what is in my savings and it tells you the precentage of what you've already saved. And the app was free. So it's a win all the way through lol.

Hi everyone! How are we all doing?

Nothing else to report except I'm feeling a bit deflated, we are supposed to have about 17% now and we have 2%

Going to have a look at the finances and see where we are at tonight once hubby is back from work (he is doing 4 hours overtime)

Hi all, long time no posting from me!!! I am still here but with no new %'s..... Just been busy... My hours are settling down next week so am hoping to list a load of things on ebay next week while kids are at school, but DS2 is having an operation on Friday so I'm not sure what he will be at next week..... My OH has said he will contribute 1% this month when his expenses get paid so that's good. If he remembers lol I have a tin of change to open up at Xmas which will hopefully have 1% in (maybe 2% but I doubt it). Was hoping to have 30% by the end of the year so I better get working!

Even though I am not making money I still read this thread most days & I love to see everyone else's posts :j

    I didn't squirrel away £3. but I did squirrel away £1.40
which makes my progress 4% with £8.47 in my tin.

Not doing too bad at this!

I haven't used one yet but I will be using this 100 sqaures
    Hearts 100 squares.

I thought it was a little different and a bit more fun then the usual squares. It kind of fits in with the reason why I want to save 1% (to eventually get a home with my partner)
