Tenth Anniversary 1,000 Posts Name Dropper I've been Money Tipped!
took another 1% to the bank today, money Ive been putting in a jar from change and little savings (for example if I manage to find a free car parking space I've been putting the money I would have paid into the jar) Don't think the cashier was very happy with me it was all in change with quite a few 1 and 2 pence pieces. Still its all money :D

    Nothing amazing today.

NSD and made food in advance for later this week and the freezer. Making the chilli for tomorrow night now as it takes 2hrs simmering. Hoping having a hard set plan for 3 meals a day will help keep us on track!! Therefore MSE in its own respect, no last minute rushes to the sainsburys local or takeaways unless planned.

No use of my big car today, so a saving there. Got a car insurance quote today for November when our cars need insurance. Multi quote came back at 675 which is alot lower than what we are paying this year (2 people under 25 and 2 cars with low no claims and a crash, sadly doesnt do us any favours)

Hoping to get some things photographed before the end of the week for Ebay but it wont be tonight. 2 out of 3 kids awake and i need a shower!!

Oooh however i need to research a good savings account tonight for the money for my car balloon payment.

  • Hi everyone,

Not a lot going on here - Ive reached my goal and surpassed but I don't really feel like it was a goal as was just stockpiling my wages.

Going to start again next month when my mortgage comes through and its going to be maxing out my mortgage over payment which is £4500 a year but ill post again when starting. Its something ill have to strive for and quite looking forward to it.

Also Im working from home tomorrow as I have a 7 hour online lecture to attend for my new job. Fuel saved and will be another NSD.

Just waiting for my mortgage now :(, too long!!!

Thats still great specialkaye, having a buffer is an achievement!! Well done!!

Well today i bought the rest of the birthday present for one of my Best friends little boys, he will be 3! I budgeted £10 and i got Puzzle, 2 long sleeved tops and a build your own elastic band powered robot and had £2 left over :j

Got 2 99p bids on Ebay, 1 ending Thursday and 1 Saturday. Hoping theyll get a few more bids before they end!

Posted off the husbands CC application today, if we get it we can balance transfer saving us a shed load of interest each other :T

Good news our anniversary weekend has been mostly paid for by a kind friend. The stay over and meal is all sorted which means we will just be paying for our cinema trip (£16.60 for two of us ) and anything we do Tuesday afternoon when we have a few hours. So nice and will be great to budget our money saved to our debts :A

Tomorrow night i plan to sew my friends present (birthday this month) and start cutting out fabric for 3 taggie blankets for babies due in October. Money saving in itself seeing as i already have the fabric :)

    Night all,

    Hi all,

Happy to report another 2%, as got paid some interest I was due on an account I keep our emergency fund money in, so I'm going to add that to my %s, as been a bit quiet recently.

Had a beer free weekend last week, partly to save a bit of money and also because I put some weight back on that I lost. Will try to keep it down this weekend, but ignoring Friday night as it's the wife's birthday. Going to Jamie Oliver's Italian in Manchester, for a meal but I'll drive and so will only have one drink until we get home from the restaurant. So saving money & kCals :D

On the eBay front found a few motorbike bits I may be able to sell (sold bike last year :( )for a % or two, nearly threw them out, but quick check on eBay app on phone suggests I may get some good money for them hopefully.

    Have good weekend all!

  • ive put another 11 things on ebay to finish next sunday so fingers crossed i can riase a few more % towards my targets, its so nice to be 'in the 3's' with my debt but i cant wait to get to the 2's, somehow a debt of £2000 something is going to feel tiny compared to what it was! in fact i checked - at its highest my b'card was £9500  and £6500 when i started this challenge. i know without it i would never have been so motivated for so long to reduce my debt. my 0% ends in march and im way on track to clear it by then, i dread to think what my interest wouldve been if i hadnt done this challenge and just kept coasting along!

    TGIF people!!!

  • Well still not got to bank to pay in money waiting from last craft fair but now have a further £70 waiting to be paid in as well from a two day craft fair I have just finished over Fri/Sat. Actually I only sold £35 of my handmade items but took some of my crafting supplies I decided I no longer needed on Sat and raised further £35 from selling some of them :j

So in total I now have £182 waiting to be paid in which will equal a further 3% :j:j:j:j:j:j
