Hi everyone, another lovely day in sunny Wales :j
The lovely husband of mine wanted to talk finances yesterday - wonders will never cease, and he is committed to paying off the car debt asap which means 4th July unless something massive crops up.
So 4 more paydays (weekly pay) and it *should* be gone :T £1225 to go.
We can attack the mortgage then, woo-hoo!Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -

Hi all,
Quick update from me as got to get kids to bed - I was at two craft fairs over this weekend (Friday and Monday) and now have the grand total of £40 to add to the pot. Every little helps I suppose.
It was also my daughter's birthday party today and we ordered take away pizza. I did however search the internet to find a BOGOF voucher so we saved £49.96.
Hopefully I will get to pay all this cash into the savings pot very soon.
Well done everyone on your %'s - keep going - we will all get there one day xxMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Good morning percenters!!! I just wanted to drop me to tell you my good news - as of the start of this month we are now debt free :j:j:j
#164 declaring an extra 8.5% overpayments, so 67% made and paid!
We were able to make that last extra payment from wages.
We also had a bit of extra money from a carboot and ebay, which we used to take a couple of friends out for a lovely pub lunch - as they've paid for a few takeaways etc during our debt free journey! And have eaten out a couple of other times (within budget :rotfl:) to celebrate! We've also reclaimed our spare room by donating everything that we didn't sell to a charity shop. Awesome.
It really is a fantastic feeling knowing that as of our next pay day our money is ours to do what we want with.
And I guess our debt-free journey is a good example of what you can do when you put your mind to it!
Having a couple of months of being half frivilous but will be back soon with a savings challenge as we want to save up for a number of things, including a house deposit.
Good luck with your debt free journeys, and keep up the percenting - two thirds of my debt since LBM has gone purely from this challenge.
And also, a big welcome to the newbies, this really is a great challenge.Total money owed: [STRIKE]31/07/11- £17,877[/STRIKE], LBM - 14/10/12 :j, 01/06/13 - £0 DEBT FREE!!!!

Hi everyone, it's raining woo-hoo :j:j
I just went on the Black Horse site to make a payment and they are doing maintenance or something so cannot pay online. It did give a number to phone but I'll wait until later. I've got 9% to pay off leaving me with £1000 to pay by 4th july.
Must remember to pay it later
Hope everyone is wellKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000
