Thank you :T It's amazing what a difference the % thing can make to how you feel about the debt. 10% sounds so much more positive than thinking about the whole amount! :j1% challenge - /100%

Saved my first 1% this week! Transferred ebay sales money into my savings account ready for paying off my overdraft.
My minimum target is 1% a month into the account, plus any extra from cashback etc.
I used to try and pay it off the account directly but I never managed to make a significant dent in the balance before I'd overspend and ruin all my hard work.
I'm going to save the money and pay off the overdraft in big chunks (i.e £500), reducing the overdraft limit each time."Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo

Hi all,
Well, I still am no further really with my redundancy situation, so until then, my payments will continue as normal!

Afternoon! Nothing more happened today. Need to get parcels wrapped and posted out tomorrow morning.
Got to sort out pet insurance this week, ive decided to reduce my cover to accident only, with a £10 reduction a month and then put £50 a month away in a savers to cover vet fees/car fixing fees etc and when i have less debt to pay i will put more money aside. Feels better to know ill be saving money rather than paying it to the insurers but i know if the dog gets hit by a car etc he is covered.
We've decided to put a hold on the overdraft and focus on the CC (it was originally vice versa) so approximately £5000 on the CC now, aiming to have halved that by Xmasthats £500 a month
Ive decided im spending no more than £100 between all 3 of my kids on Xmas presents this year. So £33 each but doesnt have to be split equally money wise.
Trying to reduce my intake of coffee as i buy the tassimo pods at £24 a month, if i can make that last every 2 months then im £145 better off a year!im on day 2 with no coffee!

Just wanted to share, was driving home from the mother in laws house and was thinking about when im debt free, properly (except the mortgage), ill be £550 better off a month!! OMG i am going to have savings upon savings and when im old and grey ill be living the highlife ! Hubby and I are 24 so really got plenty of time,
Hoping we can get the CC and overdraft paid soon (the first 2 im focusing on), then the car balloon payment (oct 2014) then the loan! Thats the biggy but you cant overpay monthly so ill have to save up and settle it early. It has 3.5yrs on it yet at £307 a month:eek: Ill be able to buy my home, car and other insurance annually, probably even pay my council tax annually and my car tax instead of bi-annually. I never thought id be able to do that. So yeah, thats what i was thinking and its kept me on track so wanted to share. Think of the outcome and the future, cause debt busting is hard but think of the benefits you will be reaping in the future :T

Quick question though, my loan payment is £280.24 a month, do I count that as paying it off and in %? if not, I'm confused haha.
