Got another £10 selling the baby swing. It wouldnt be long til she was out of it and we already have a bouncer and a bumbo for her to sit in. .5% there.

Yesterday i worked out how much money we have wasted on takeaways we have had since 2013 started, £600  It was worse than i thought! Thats half of what i owe on the overdraft. I feel very crappy about that but onwards and upwards. We are cooking more and wasting less food at home so we are on a winner :)

4 more items listed this morning with 99p starts - some more to go on later

Sarah - I used to spend loads on readymeals and takeaways. No longer though when the penny finally dropped how much cheaper it was to make it from scratch, let alone nicer and healthier. I cook everything now, batch cook and freeze if possible to make life a little easier. I started off by limiting my self to once a fortnight takeaway, then once a month, then none - and none now for 2yrs!

I combated our huge takeaway spend by buying convenience foods to replace them. Things lie frozen pizzas, burgers & oven chips, or even jars of sauce or mexican meal kits. That way we still get a 'treat' meal and I don't have to put a lot of effort into cooking....

    Hi all,

I'm back after a fantastic holiday - will be sitting down to read what I've missed and what you've all been up to whilst I've been away as soon as I can :D

In the meantime I just wanted to say I have transferred £20 over to the savings account from the £5 rewards on the current account each month this year. So near to another % but not quite.

I was really good on holiday though and we bought dollars back with us so these will be added to the savings again soon.

I set myself some goals for April..
    GOALS FOR APRIL :
    1) Have £600.00 in HSBC Savings Account (£452.97 atm)
    2) Have debt #1 at 40% (currently at 39.88%)
    3) Have debt #2 at 12% (currently at 9.68%)
    4) Have overall debt at 39% (currently at 35%)

I have about 10 sticky notes on my laptop which have all the facts and figures written down, I think it can get quite addictive LOL.
I have a few D/Ds to go towards #2 and #1 so hopefully I should meet all my targets :)

    2) Have debt #1 at 40% - COMPLETE ... 40.48 % as of this morning with more payments due to send later in the month :T:T
    The 1% Challenge #76 - Debt 1 = £620 - 1% = £6.20 - 4.3%
    Debt 2 = £1600- 1% = £16 - 0%
    Debt 3 = £1012 - 1% = £10.12 0%

    Pay all your debt by Xmas 2016 #130- £465.86/£7636.46 - 6.1 %
    Make £10 a day ~ Jan £182.49, Feb £373.65

I'm catching up slowly - well done everyone on your percentages :T

I just wanted to report that I have returned lots of clothes I bought for holiday but never wore (I left the tags on in true MSE fashion - just in case they were not needed) and so have just transferred £101 to the savings account :j:j

    So:-

    Member 17 = 3% :j

Also going through DD's and SO's so hopefully will be able to add a bit more very soon.

Keep up the good work everyone xx

Craftingmad., nice to see you back and glad you had a lovely holiday!

Nothing to report today except a no spend day here :) No sales either. I accidentally bought 2 snap pliers and snap sets for my sewing (i ordered one set and husband bought the other! LOL) so my friend is buying one set off me for what i paid for it so no loss there thankfully!

Hoping to bump some Facebook sale items later whilst im waiting for free listing weekend! (hoping thats this weekend)

Right, I'm going to jump in too. I was on the last thread (bit of a lerker) and I really want to shift my OD. Dont think my sig has changed in years :-(

Think I still have a number and my 1% is £15.

I have two people collecting stuff on Saturday (fb sales) and that will be £13 so not far off. will need to pay it in asap as I want to be debt free asap clearly and by my b-day, 5 months!

Empty perfume bottles always seem to sell well. Even just the lids!
