I rang the bank to find out what the updated balance was after all the overpayments I have made.

Very pleased to discover it was around £500 less than I thought meaning I've saved that amount in interest.

Still plugging away as there's a long way to go, however I certainly feel better now I'm getting close to the halfway point of how much I've repaid.

Staying with my current percentiles of £177.00, I'm now up to 7%. Those little overpayments of £2.00 work claim backs and ebay sales are slowly building up.

Nearly at the halfway point - you're doing so well!
I too had a nice surprise when I called to check my balance (thought not as nice as your £500!) and rather than change all of my figures I have counted this as payments (I obviously overpaid at some point!) so I am technically at 6.85% paid, but until I reach the 7 will report my repayments as being 6% :j
