  • Hi all,
Had a bit of luck - we did a recommend a friend deal with our house and got a cheque for 1000 pounds! We have given them half of it as a surprise but that means 500 can go straight to family loan YAY! Plus 100 of our money too=
    Debt 1: Family loan 3000 paid out of 8000 = 37%
    Savings: 3100/10000 = 31%

Was looking at some figures and really think we could pay off family this year if we work hard at it...

I owe my dad £550 (was almost £2000) and have been paying him off over the last 3/4 years!! So have decided to pay him £50 a month until it is paid off but any extra ways are good and I like the idea of having the % to keep track of and makes me feel like I've achieved something!! :D
So my 1% is £5.50 so will round up to £6 :)

  • Number 38 here, crawling out of the woodwork to start all over again. My 1% is £35 and I have to find this with extra money as we haven't got any spare cash. So I've started today by putting 4 bits on ebay. Not much but its a start.
  • I've now paid 50% off my loan :)

Will try and chip a bit more of it if i can later in the month !
  • Halfway there:j

Wow! Last time I posted was November, and I had reached 5%. Fast forward to today and I have reacher 10.9%. Still a long way to go, and I need to get back to selling on ebay to increase payments, but the debt is reducing!

  • I'm at 40% paid off, unfortunately the pt job that helped us get here has ended so the % will be a lot slower :(. But as long as it is moving down not up, I'm happy :)

£144.60 overpaid on the long term loan last week.

Another £10.31 to pay towards it and then see if any eBay sales roll in to add to the overpayments this month.

Still chipping away at the total...

  • Got £5 back by getting rid of my Oyster card, apparently there was a £5 deposit on it. I don't use it any more as use contactless card. Also got just over £4 interest on a savings account which is empty, but I guess it must have had some money in it at some point in the last year! Sold some stuff on ebay but need to post it before I can see how much I made. So not enough for a % but feels good anyway!
