Nationwide FlexDirect - 5% interest, free overdraft

I saw the statement below on the nationwide website in the Q and A section:
You can open up to four Nationwide current accounts, however you are only guaranteed the 5% AER promotional interest rate on one FlexDirect account.
Can any of you guys with multiple Nationwide flexdirect accounts tell me if you are receiving the 5% on all accounts or just 1?Girlie Girl0 -

Many people on here (myself included) have several FlexDirect accounts.
No-one has yet reported not getting 5% AER on all of them.
Even if (when?) they pull the plug they'll still pay 1% AER...so not the end of the world (for one month until you shift it somewhere else)!0 -
Just applied for the 2nd Nationwide flexdirect account today and the application stopped and said due to essential maintence work the online application is not available.
Try again.
Will that application have go through as an application for credit?
I guess I may try later this week.
Cheers for the help!Girlie Girl0 -

I thought i was going to go the SO route, but as i open more accounts i'm thinking manual moving about is easier.0

Moving funds manually is generally better because you'll maximise interest by not waiting a day or two between transfers. It does take 5-10 minutes if you need to move between different banks. Only once have I actually had to wait the specified "up to 2 hours" for a Faster Payment to go through, otherwise it's always been instant (e.g. send it on Lloyds TSB, refresh Nationwide and the funds are already there).0

How do you deal with the other halfs accounts?0

I did notice though, that my refer-a-friend offer has disappeared from my "notes" section? Have they stopped doing that?0 -
I've still got the overdraft on my first account. The 2nd one i've only just opened and doesn't have one.
Now i seem to be getting fraud checked or some crap, because my under a £1 transaction when through quick yesterday, but today my £1k to 2nd account just opened and its not appearing in my NW account!
Clearly this is a fraud job! Holding my money, gone missing into the ether of the backing system!0
