    You can log in without the card reader, but you often need it to make faster payments from your account.

    No, once you have made an initial payment you dont always get prompted to use the card reader for subsequent ones.

    Wrong - I have not had to use it for any existing payments for a while.

    Definitely not for me. It's fairly random when they "pull me up" on payments to existing payees, but definitely not every time.

    I haven't had the option of logging in without the card reader for a while. I hate the things, completely ruins the idea of "mobile banking". If your passwords are strong enough, there's no need for it.

    The option to log in without a card reader is still there. I have been doing it every day for the past umpteen months.

    Well that's great for you. I can't see it. It used to be there but is not any more, unless they moved it?

    I've just used it. It appears after you've put your customer number in.
