Think we need a bigger bath!

Have 2 x INs. Sainsbury's have VO5 range on buy 2 products for £5 so picked up 2 x their version of Batiste. Always need this and my current can is permanently resident in Emma's room so I've no chance of knowing how low it's getting until it's gone!
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

So it is probably a good job I let out the massive Timotei mum gave me a few years ago. Oat and peach smells nice, but not as nice as the mystery shampoo and conditioner I trialed earlier this year which I would love to know who made it as it is gorgeous and I WDBA if I knew what it was.

Was this through a shop or through a market research company? Shops have customer services that can help you, but if it's market research, keep an eye out for new products or new formulas coming out about 6months after.

Re lu5h face masks, I would have taken the mask back. Lu5h are very good at making up for any mistakes like that! I loved one of their moisturisers, but it went off after 2 weeks while still in date, it was the best customer service I've ever had. Unfortunately the 2 free replacement moisturisers they sent me both went off after 2 weeks as well, so I stopped using them.

Had a massive clear out of make up today now I have my new make up storage. Haven't been through my make up for so long, think there were products in there that are at least 10 years old

I previously kept lots of makeup in a giant clear plastic make up bag that used to just sit in a draw and I never used any of it. For some reason I seem to get rid of foundations and concealers but hoard eye shadow and mascara. I have lots of green eyeshadow for some reason (never wear this colour - planning on keeping them for a bit and see if I use them now I have resorted, I am thinking that I probably won't and will end up giving them away)! I also noticed that I have duplicates of a number of items and lots of things I have never used. I am lacking in lipsticks and foundation so may have to go shopping ;)

Have the following TAs due to them being old/gone off:

    31: Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara
    32: Collection 2000 Glitter Eyeliner
    33: Gosh Eyeshadow Duo
34: Rimmel Colour Mousse (smelt really bad)
35: Rimmel Colour Mousse (see above!)
    36: Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer
    37: Maybelline the Falsies Mascara
    38: Maybelline Pulse Perfecion Mascara
    39: Rimmel Stars Single Eyeshadow
    40: Miss Sporty XXLong Mascara
    41: Maxfactor Liquid Eyeliner
42: Rimmel Khol Eyepencil in Green
    43: Rimmel Brown Eyebrow Pencil

I really liked the Maybelline mascaras and the mousse concealer

I am going to GA the following as they don't seem to have gone off/never been opened:

    44: Benefit Her Glossiness
    45: Rimmel single Eyeshadow
    46: No7 Eyeshadow Quad
    47: Rimmel Colour Loose
    48: Eyeko Minty Fat Balm
    49: Boots Fresh Lip Licker
    50: Wella Styling Gel

    Sorry for the long post!!

Edit: I also just noticed that I only own 2 blushers, neither of which I use. Have some others in some palettes. Was thinking about buying one of the Benefit kits with dandelion and posietint in as I would like to add some more colour to my face! Any thoughts?

Dandelion is very pretty, Coralista by Benefit is also nice, richer colour. Benetint is easier to blend than Posietint I find. L'oreal have just launched a nude magique blusher and I tried it in Boots this week and it has the texture of a serum, goes on almost clear then comes up as the most gorgeous natural flush.

Thanks for the advice, I also have the itchy scalp most of the time but H&S is the least itchy. Where do you find your oil? Does it have a positive effect? I also find my scalp is quite flakey as though it needs a moisturiser around the hair line. Might try a trial sized Auzzie

Don't!!! Aussie is not sulfate free - I've checked most of the high end shampoos like that (for that price, I thought the they might be) but so far, i've not had much luck with any high street brands (not even lush). Boots do a sulfate free range called Naked (for hair and body) and if you have an a-card, you can get a 25% off voucher from the machines. It's £4 normally. Alternatively you can look in Holland & b's for shampoo (about £5). Dove soap is sulfate free, but their body wash is not.

I've just leaped on the sulfate free wagon to see if it helps me with a skin condition, I'm about 2 weeks converted so not sure about the effects just yet, but I can keep people updated on my successes and failures?

Some of the naked shampoos smell really dodgy, but their jojoba and marshmallow stuff is lovely, and foams like normal shampoo. Hair feels a bit heavy by the end of the day, but i'm weathering it out for a month to see if it's just the change in formula, or if it's permanent. Apparently you can rinse with cider vinegar to help with that.

The shower gels are nice enough, but I use a lot of shower gel, so it can be pricey at £4 a bottle. I'm using soaps on a day-to-day basis, and shower gels for weekends or if I need a pamper boost.

Happy birthday HappyTorte and Dolly8, hope you both have a lovely day. Dolly what a lovely present list.

    UU's

Last 30ml of IBST using some Body Shop for sensitive skin to try now. But WBA

Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream - have another 2 to follow on. My HG has been a Gatineau one, not decided it the Balance Me will replace this yet.

Clarins Hydra Quench Bi-phase sample 3ml sample, free from SA, WNBA not as good for me as Gatineau Melatogenine Anti Wrinkle stuff. Lacura Serum next in line to be used.

Painted nails with Nails Inc. Porchester Square which I finally acquired at a good price. It is lovely, I have half a dozen Nude polishes and there are subtle differences between them and I enjoy them all. (Should add NP is a bit of a hobby for me and I have "rather a lot", but I don't buy magazines and cannot tolerate alchohol, so no guilt here).

Have a great weekend everyone, Mr MM and I both have head colds, so no exciting excursions planned, although going back to Dorset next weekend, for first visit since we relocated here 16 months ago. Off to look out weekend bag and restock with goodies:)

    So I have a question.
After using up some leftover Pantene shampoo as hand soap I need a new view on shampoo. I have used many shampoos but find all but head and shoulders make my scalp very itchy after a few uses. Do you know if it a particular ingredient? When I speak to my hairdresser she advises against head and shoulders, apparently you can also use it to clean the limescale off taps!,
    So any thoughts or advise?

Gemguin, I also have an itchy scalp. I have learnt to avoid any schampoos and conditioners containing mint. LE's range has been brilliant. I know alternate between LE and the La Source range from Crabtree & Evelyn. Alternating between brands has reduced the itching for me.

Good luck in finding something that suits you.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

I have has problems with an itchy scalp for the last 18 months and have found TBS ginger shampoo to be my saviour. I have tried SLS free products and used to spend every weekend with my scalp covered in various type of oils just to give myself a few hours grace. With the ginger shampoo I don't get an itchy scalp.
