No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in March

Hello everyone!
Sorry for the long postGrrrr :mad::mad:
I am really annoyed - bought some Benefit make up on ebay and I think it is fake
Have contacted the seller and am hoping for a quick refund. Not impressed.
That is horrible. This is why I don't buy benefit from ebay, you just never know, do you? Just go through ebay or paypal and file a claim that it's a fake. This has happened to me once with a MAC eyeshadow and I got my money back very quickly and I ended up binning the fake, because the problem with fake makeup is that it doesn't go through the same testing regulations and you just never know what's in it.seasideDreamer wrote: »Another UU Lush catrophosic cosmic facemask. Not really a fan I like brazen honey but they got switched at the till somehow:( Looking forward to getting one again hopefully next time!
I would ring up the shop that did the switch-a-roo and speak to the Manager. I know if this happened in my shop, I'd immediately ask them to come back in and I would not only give them the correct face mask but probably something else for the trouble of having to return back to the shop x
So I have several UU's to declare. I've had a very good pampering week. I still haven't purchased anything yet but just realised I need a new face cleanser and still a new foundation. Other than that, I'm going to be good. There are so many pretty things online that I want to just buy but I keep thinking about my cruise next year and also the fact that I'm applying for my visa renewal and it's costing me over £1000!!!!!!! so I just need to be frugal at the moment.
My weekly UU's...
1. Lush - roots hair treatment - definitely need another pot
2. Lush - 2 butterball bath bombs - wba, made my skin so soft
3. Lush - vanilla fountain bath bomb - it's discontinued so I need to hunt online to see if I can get another one
4. Lush - honey I washed the kids soap (100g) - wba i want to eat it!
5. Lush - Porridge - wnba - I love the smell but the scrubby oats in it was too harsh for my skin
6. Lacoste - touch of spring perfume sample - I do like it but my next perfume purchase is going to be bond no 9 chelsea flowers or madison square garden so I promised myself not to buy anymore fragrances for a year or two to save up for that.
OH ...I almost forgot...on March 11th animal testing within the EU is officially banned. In the past, companies got away with it by importing ingredients tested on animals in other countries but this new legislation stops that from happening and now in the EU, both final products AND ingredients can no longer be tested on animals. This is 23 years of fighting and I'm so happy to say that the EU has finally woken up that torturing animals for vanity sakes is not right. Super happy about that!!!:j:j:j:j:j:j
Off to take my mother and father in law to a nice lunch at Milsoms for their anniversary and mother's day so hope you all have a wonderful day xNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge

Sorry to hear this has happened to you too - I certainly won't be buying anymore Benefit on ebay. It's so disappointing. It was a travel set thing that I bought so lots of miniatures of products that I really wanted to try as opposed to buying full sizes of things. Looks like I will have to just buy the full sizes
I have let ebay know - just waiting to hear whether I need to send the products back. I am not happy to pay postage to send back. I am certainly not going to use them anyway - they look dodgy and smell funny _pale_
Just trying to decide whether to go and purchase one of the benefit cheek kits in John Lewis whilst they have 10% off instead to make me feel better!
Yay I am really happy about the EU ban too - about time!! :j:j0 -
Right time to declare all my recent INS: _pale_:embarasse
All of the following are bought INS:
17: Nails Inc Wellington Square 10ml
18: Accessorize Nail Speckle in Butterfly 10ml
19: Accessorize Nail Speckle in Ladybird 10ml
Wanted to try out the Accessorize ones as saw on a blog that they are similar to the new Illamasqua speckle polishes. Haven't tried them yet but they look pretty anyway.
The following are non bought INS that I had for my birthday:
20: Sanctuary Body Lotion 250ml
21: Sanctuary Foaming Body Mousse 225ml
22: Champneys Watermint Body Scrub 200ml
23: Benefit Triple performance facial emulsion
24: Benefit Foamingly clean facial wash
25: Benefit Refined finish facial polish
26: Benefit Total moisture facial cream
27: Benefit It’s potent eye cream
28: Benefit Moisture prep toning lotion
The Benefit ones are all minis in a little kit that my friend bought me. Some lovely things that I can't wait to try! My INS and OUTS are nearly the same though now :eek:0 -

I loved nail varnish (and shoes) before my daughter was born (now 7) and have recently rediscovered my passion for polish. Ive always steered clear of neutrals in the past as they tended to be too sheer for my liking but am enjoying the newer formulas where 2 coats are enough.
I love the look of the Theodora one and will keep my eye out for it in my local Sallys, or JL or maybe even QVC if they have a good kit with it in.Catriona_P wrote: »I have an IN to declare, finally had enough Boots points to treat myself to Benefit's Lemon Aid!I've heard so many on here raving about it so though I'd give it a go - has anybody used it underneath their eyes as well as on the lids?
I tried this on holiday. Be very wary of how much you use as in one photo someone remarked that I looked like I had been sunbathing with glasses on as the skin around my eyes looked very white! I also like using it at the sides of my nose if I have any redness there.
My friend at work has a sister who's an Avon rep and I've just been having a look at their recent brocure. It's too late for me to place an order now but was wondering if anyone has tried their BB cream? I also fancy trying the moroccan oil as well.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I am an Avon Rep and I really like the Moroccan Oil and it is a good price too. I have several customers who buy the moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner on a regular basis so that must be nice too. I haven't tried the BB cream as Avon don't send samples to their reps (we can buy at a reduced price) which is silly of them I think as if I had tried it and liked it I would tell lots of people. If you get it and don't like it you can return within 90 days for a full refund.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

UU was a vanilla fountain bath bomb thing from Lush, feeling rubbish so I got an early finish & had toasty bath at home today instead0

Forgot to take my face mask sample upstairs to the bath tho ...0

UU Tigi straight shot shampoo and conditioner. These were huge bottles which lasted for ages. May buy Tigi again but not these ones. What does everyone think of Tigi? I was wondering if i should buy more or go for Aussie ones instead.0

I can't use foaming face washes either. Do they make your skin feel tight? I was so disappointed that Purity made my skin like this (and it was the non-foaming one I used) as it was brilliant at ridding me of milia at the time.
Yes, sort of tight and dry and with my stash, it's just not worth it really!
I'm quite into cream cleansers instead of make up remover and the creams and gels asa face wash. Like Liz Earle.Cookie, I think you're tame. :heart2:
