You could always cut it up and make a curry. Or shred it, mix with gravy and put in a baking dish topping with potato and into the oven for a pork shepherds pie.

I had scheduled a Roast Pork dinner for today, but its waaaay too hot for all that, so I cooked the piece yesterday when we didn't have to be in the kitchen and now have it sliced, cold and ready to have something done with it.

    But what??

I'd rather not do anything that involved reheating it. Personally, I'd have it with a new potato salad plus a green or mixed salad. However, the young master won't countenance either of those things.

CousCous salad is out, he can't stand that either.

So - any ideas that don't involve mayonnaise salads, potatoes (other than wedges, which he likes), CousCous or green salad.

A stir-fry? Sandwiches with apple sauce?
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

how about putting it in baps with some bits of bobs, kind of like a cold burger, personally I would add a slice of cheese and a pineapple ring at pop it under the grill for a bit. Then serve with wedges for him, salad for you and maybe some corn on the cob (my current addiction!)

I love this with leftover turkey - would work the same for pork though:

Get hold of some crusty bread and make into sandwiches - top with thick gravy and serve with wedges.

    yum!

  • Have you got any paxo or the like? You could do him pork and stuffing sandwiches - my kids love these!! Or sometimes I chop up leftover roast pork and heat it with a tin of beans and a chopped fried onion, mixed with a bit of tomato ketchup or bbq sauce and have it with rice or baked potato or oven chips!1 I call it cowboy beans and it goes down well!!

  • Hi Guys.

Went to mums yesterday for sunday dinner. She sliced what was left over from the pork, and we brought it home.

I was gonna use for tea, and not being very adventurous, was going to have with roast potatoes, veg and gravy. (2adults, 3 kids)

Does anyone have anymore ideas what i could do with the pork?

Must be something more exciting than another roast?

    Thanks
    pot
