Leftover Pork

I made a pork casserole in my slow cooker the other day with pork loins cut up, tinned tomatoes, little bit of chorizo, cannellini beans, onions, celery and a few herbs. It was lovely I'm sure you could change it with whatever you had in the cupboard and I found the chorizo made the pork less boring0

I think as it is for tonight I'm gonna go with the chineesy as its tonight and I have a tin of pineapple that has been lurking in my cupboards forever - so you mean do all of the above (tin toms, veg, garlic, stock) and then add pineapple & 5 spice?DF as at 30/12/16

Yep - chuck it all in :T As the pork is cooked, I'd soften the veg in some liquid, then add the chopped pork and bring it to a simmer.
As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add this to the existing thread to keep ideas together.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Hello
New to this particular thread but have read with interest!
I am cooking a 1kg boneless pork leg joint for dinner tomorrow night, only me and OH (and baby but she doesn't eat a great deal) so wondering what to do with the leftovers. Bit skint for next couple of days so cheap and cheerful ideas required please

Cold pork slices would be scrumptious on a sandwich if you've got any packed lunches to make, especially if you glaze the roast with a honey & mustard mix. You could cube it and pop it into a stir-fry or even sling it into some curry. Slice it and heat it up with some left-over gravy, perhaps.0
-
That sounds good, I have some honey, would wholegrain or english mustard be best?0
-
i have glazed with either, if you are using English you would need to use a lesser amount0
-
Whatever you like. I'd be tempted to use the english mustard especially if the wholegrain is particularly pricey, which it often is.0
-
I have both in but think the wholegrain will be nicer, thanks for your suggestions x0
