I've just checked my account online and it seems the cheeky gits have charged me for DD's that haven't been met even though they wouldn't allow them to go out or for me to add funds to the account!! Looks like I have a good argument on my hands on Monday!0 -
When you get home please tell us the reason they give you for the freeze. I am so curious I am turning into a cat.No debts. No credit cards. No store cards. No mortgage. No CCJs. High credit rating intact. Living frugally. Want to start business soon. Trying to keep head above water; while standing on own feet; staying within the law; and not falling into debt. Looking to raise income, who isn't?0

The whole thing apparently. I tried to log into my account using my app & online and it wouldn't let me and I've been in branch to ask them and they say they can't discuss this account nor can I have my money.
The thing that is most annoying/worrying is they won't tell me why. If they said to me, it is to check account security or whatever and it will be back available in 48 hours I'm happy to wait but at the moment I have no access to my account nor a reason as to why. All i keep getting is that they can't discuss this with me.
Any ideas ?
This post is from the 27th of February 2013.I'm away on holiday this week and have just on the off chance checked my app and I'm all back up & running!! Have just been to the cash point also and my card is working and have withdrawn some funds!!! Wahoooooo!!
Suppose will have to wait until I get home to find out what has happened though but in the meantime I have my account back!!

Are we living in a world where banks own, control us and do whatever they want with our money ?!
This is really annoying story to read:- The guy had no access to his money and to his bank account for more than 3 weeks (21 days).
- He said in one of his posts he couldn't sleep properly for 2 weeks since this happened. Were the idiots who conducted this S-L-O-W "investigation" able to sleep at night? I'm sure they couldn't care more about him or other customers.
- He got access back to his account without any notification, or an apology from his bank / bank manager. So far no explanation of what happened.

You do not NOW the OP and how do you know he will not have the guts to challenge them.
My advise to you grumpy is wind your neck in until you have all the information to hand.0 -
The bank aren't obliged to tell the OP why they suspended his account but they are obliged to refund any charges that will have been incurred. The OP should also ask for compensation for the inconvenience caused.0
