    Hiya,
I'm about 8 weeks pregnant, I went to the doctors 2 weeks ago and she said she would book me in for a scan and with the pychiatrist (am on meds), but I still haven't recieved an appointment.
I am concerned as I took the morning after pill, also because I'm not sure what the effects of my meds will be on the baby.

Hi I'm sure if meds were dangerous the doc could have told you. Don't know where I've heard this but I'm sure the advice is to keep taking your meds. Psychiatrist will need to review because pregnancy hormones etc may interfere with normal balance of drugs. Some people would need extra monitoring to check they are coping as otherwise meds may need altering or extra support counselling etc may be required. Emotions run high in pregnancy. Don't worry about morning after pill its supposed to stop implantation- clearly it didn't work, shouldn't have affected the embryo in any other way. Try not to worry :)

Emergency doc sent me to hospital on Sunday as I was having light bleeding and severe pains which were mostly on one side and they suspected it might be ectopic. I had an internal that showed my cervix was closed but that there was bleeding. She said she couldnt tell if it was ectopic but took bloods. Called with the results that night and my HCG levl was 500 which is apparently low for 5 + 3.
Have an appointment at epu this morning for more bloods and possibly a scan. The pain has gone and am only spotting lightly occassionally but I cant help fearing the worst. I have been a wreck since Sunday, OH seems quite optimistic but has been a huge support to me. Been awake since 3.45am worrying about today.
