yes Ive been having it Samtoby especially when I am thirsty (which I often am at the mo!)
Went shopping this morning (to try to get prepared and get some xmas presents) went in 2 shops and they were so hot that I began to feel ill... so came home. Now feel shattered. Think my xmas shopping will all be online this year!
Mrs T_M - I bought 2 packs of the satsumas at Aldi.....may go back for some more! I love them. - though still have my toast and crisp habit to break, you are a better person than me VickyVics!!! x0 -

I'm currently having B&J's Phish Food ice cream and crunching on meringues for lunch! I'll probably cook an early dinner because of it, but I just woke up (again) and didn't feel like cooking before I could eat. :rotfl:0 -
I'm struggling big style with the nausea!! i would say 90% of the day i feel really sick because i'm hungry, but as soon as i try to eat anything i feel like i want to throw it back up
had some toast and orange juice first thing - it came up about an hour ago
just had some heinz mushroom soup - really hoping it stays down. Feel so fed up0 -
Happy birthday moonbabe hope you have a lovely day!
Awww Gopppers that's understandable that you wouldn't want to jinx it, I am sure everything will be ok for you and my fingers are crossed. Good luck for your scan. I had one at 7+3 as it turned out, and it definitely reassured me and my boyfriend. Actually both of our dates may change slightly at the 12 week mark anyway, I suppose!
Samtoby I haven't been having a metallic taste but I have found some foods taste a bit odd. I've just eaten my jacket potato at work which is the same as all the others I've had this week, and it tasted a bit odd...I can't put my finger on why but I think it's more me than the potato!! Does your sense of taste get a bit off when pregnant?
Fireyfirenze - make sure those extra strong mints don't have Aspartame in them! My boyfriend brought me some the other day and they had it in so I couldn't eat any in the end!
So glad it's Friday! Have been really fed up this week with having to hide my sickness at work. Will be so glad for a relaxing weekend!
8 weeks + 6 days today! Will be 9 weeks tomorrow!!!Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

Join the clubMine got so bad I had to go to my doctors and get anti sickness pills. I've finished them now and am going to see what happens. I don't really want to get more but if it gets really bad again I will have to.
I found nothing anyone suggested worked. DO stay away from strong smells though (like the fridge) that set me right off! I did try and eat two dry crackers (yum...) in bed every morning before I got up and sometimes that helped but not always. I was throwing up whilst driving to work in carrier bags on a daily basis....it was horrible
I would probably stay away from fruit juices TBH or anything really sugary. I drank glasses of milk which helped somewhat and stuck to really bland food (and still am to be honest) like toast with a bit of butter on, plain ham sandwich, salt and vinegar squares (these crisps were a godsend). It's just trial and error unfortunately
Do go to your doctor if it continues though, and if you start throwing up even just water (which I did) you could be at risk of dehydration so even more of a reason to go see your gp.
Hope it gets better, hugs xOur first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

The metallic taste makes me feel sick. If I feel sick then I seem to always have a mouth full of salvia which makes me feel more sick. I have to eat every couple of hours otherwise it ends in disaster. I have never had this before in early pregnancy which makes me hope all is going well in there.
Fruit is a no no for me. Can not do it. It leaves a metallic taste so I am back where I was before I started eating.
My healthy diet has gone out the window. Completly. I can not eat most of what I liked to eat to be healthy so for once in my life I am going to eat what I want to when I want to.
My typical diet involves chocolate hob nobs, bread at least 6 pieces a day  with marmite, capri suns - the summer berries one, um bongo and then our normal healthy dinner but just covered in gravy or tomato sauce.
At the end of the day I think this phase will pass. Its just stopping me from actually being sick - my partner is concerned with my general food intake but I am sure its being used up.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Oh and I can not have any tablets from the anti- sickness family - after my operation a couple of months ago I found out they cause me a severe allergic reaction. I ended up collapsing and going un concious - having injections and it meant a night in hospital. They think they know what I must be allergic too so that basically excludes all anti- sickness drugs..............Boo.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Sorry ladies, looks like I'll be leaving you. Sonographer could see an 'area' inside but nothing in it, so I'm either nowhere near as far along as I thought or the baby has died. I've got to go back to the EPAU next Friday morning for another scan to see of anything has changed or grown etc but I don't think I'll be keeping my hopes up.
Wishing you all the best in your pregnancy journeys and hopefully I'll be back on here soon.0 -

That's unfortunate

Phoenix7 - so so sorry to hear that. I'm hoping they are wrong and that your next appointment is better news. Thinking of you at this difficult time x.0
