starshinning - have you got any tests at home? If so go for it! Don't go out to buy one though!! I bought a pack of 25 cheap internet tests when we were trying and I might have used them all... oops!

My sickness has started :( Morning sickness is so strange, my stomach churns, my mouth waters, lying down won't stop it but as soon as I'm sick I feel really good! I managed to eat seconds for tea last night AND pudding after I had vomitted. I'm doing a 14 hour shift tomorrow and I don't know how I'll cope.

I'm still paranoid of miscarriage. I've been getting slight cramps like my period is going to start so I've been on knickerwatch too. Pregnancy is not very glamorous is it?!

    Hope everyone else is ok!

hugs hun, Sorry to hear you are being sick :( I felt sick all day but that seems to have past. I have some cheapies so will do one :)
Just take each day as it comes. :)

Today was hard going, my manager was trying to teach me a new computer skill (spss analysis if you're interested!) and it was just so hard to concentrate and understand it. My boss knows I'm pregnant, but I get the impression he thinks I'm just demotivated at work, daydreaming about a "year off" etc, whereas I'm just too tired and wobbly to work to usual levels! And not up for getting stressed/ dealing with pressure. Hope you've had better days.
I was never much of a tea drinker but what's a bit odd is a big stash of my favourite treat, dark chocolate, is sitting in a cupboard untouched 5 weeks after I bought it...

Hi ladies, can I join....I'm 6+1 but am quietly cautious as had mc last August and it's taken this long to get pregnant again! Not been to doc yet. Done 2 tests. Keeping checking for signs of blood too, really must stop doing that!

Welcome and congrats on your good news x

    Hi Jox,

I remember you from the other thread. Congratulations:j. I hope this is a sticky one for you.:)

afm. I went for a nap after dinner last night and slept for 14 hours, woke up tired and had another nap this afternoon for 2 hours......its my only symptom so I am relaxing and enjoying it - rather be tired than have morning sickness:D

Can someone settle a littledisagreement between me and OH. He say today is 8+7 as the week isn't over till the end of the 7th day. I say I am 9 weeks.

Lily - if you are still around do you want someone to takeover the list?

You're clearly 9+0 firefly ;) it'd be like saying weeks + week otherwise, and that's just stupid :p

I have such acid reflux, it's gross. And I've swapped back to folic acid on it's own from pregnacare cos all the iron is not helping my digestion. I've asked in numerous places for prenatal vitamins without iron, to no avail. Anyone aware of any?

Welcome jox, I recognise your user name-did you ever post on ttc thread? Welcome anyone else I've missed the arrival of :)

bigzippy - Have you tried having the pregnacare with your evening meal? Maybe try gaviscon before your meal and the tablet after, it might work as it did for me when it was worsening sickness.

    Morning ladies,

I need to have a grump. Sorry! I'm absolutely knackered, I feel like I've just been on a long haul flight. I feel sick, pregnancy seems to have sent my IBS into overdrive and I've had to get up early this morning to drive 2 hrs to a meeting that will take 10 minutes. Oh and it's my birthday. Really regretting not booking it off now but I want to save all my holiday for the baby!

Anyhoo, I'm telling the boss lady I'm preggers today. We get on really well so I think she'll be pleased for me.

    Rant over!

Interesting that you've linked the pregnacare to poor digestion... I've been taking them most days after dinner, if I forget to take them at the right time then I have some small boots folic acid/ vit D tablets which I can take before bed. I tend to suffer a bit with constipation anyway and now am having some really uncomfortable moments! (Sorry for TMI) I might mix it up a bit and have the pregnacare less often and take the little tablets instead.

Today I'm off sick, I had a horrible tum yesterday, had to get up in the night with a painful belly - quite scary at the time but discovered it was related to digestion/ bloating not little bean - and just really over tired now. Not prepared to push myself hard for work at the moment so looking after myself by staying in bed. It's my first sick day since the pregnancy (am about 9 weeks) so hopefully my manager will be forgiving, even though its going to make hitting a Thursday afternoon deadline harder tomorrow!

Best wishes to you all x
    Happy Birthday HungryKitty :)
