Def doing this. I had signed up with them at the weekend, but I'm still within the 7 days. So just cancelled.

Does anyone know the finer details? Will Martin update?
Do you sign up by phone or web?

I mentioned it to them when cancelling, they ask for a reason & they don't know anything about it.

If you read the MSE article, you'll see that the offer commences on 28/2-tomorrow.
You sign up online by clicking on the link in the first line of the MSE article-but not until it opens tomorrow.
Bear in mind that you have to pay the line rental upfront (£114), and you also have to be on a TT LLU exchange to get that broadband rate.
Since it's an online offer, it's quite natural that the 1st tier call centre drones know nothing about it.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Thanks yes, I know its tomorrow. Just wanted to be ready to go early, before I leave for work hopefully.

Wait for the link to update, presumably sometime today.
This is TT, you can't expect things to happen when they say they will...

  • I think it's updated I clicked the link from the MSE page and it says £70 voucher now, I chatted to a talk talk online rep yesterday to ask how easy it is to switch and they said they'd do everything after they checked what my postcode and current provider were. Just have to ring primus today to make sure we were only on a 12 month contract that has ended already. Fingers crossed will be nice to not get charged for going over our previous 10 gb limit if I can get this deal.
    House deposit 15/15k hurrah!

  • It's showing the £70 voucher when I click on the link, but as I go through the stages it doesn't let me opt for the annual line payment. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Never believe a rep who says 'we will do everything'! Get your MAC from Primus and then give it to TT.
You are not 'out of contract' with Primus, you may be out of minimum term, in which case you still need to give 30 days notice once you have your switch date from TT.
Once you have your TT account set up, you should be able to log in and pay the VLR.

Hi thanks, yeah I know they'd say anything probably and it'll no doubt turn into a hassle like it was with Primus at first if we decide to switch. I'm holding fire to see where we stand with our current supplier, and see how other people get on with this deal. Don't want to rush into anything. :D

  • Hi everyone, I was drawn to this offer by the love2shop £70 especially because the MSE email says you can use it at B&Q. I really want to buy new kitchen cupboard doors and they are going to cost me £100 :(. So the £70 would be a great help. I'm very sad to report that this information is wrong :(:(:( I have checked with the live chat on love2shops website. Gutted !!!!
  • What do you mean it's wrong?

(Are you with quidco? They are offering £70 cashback on this same package)
