Hi all, got my Lobster today - well impressed!

I have been a Windows Mobile Phone edition user for a while and am very impressed with this phone.

For those who are having difficulties getting their subscriptions updated for TV and DAB radio, I found moving to a better reception area (ie out of my office at home) to the living room (less interference from computers, wireless networks etc) and it worked first time, also picked up extra stations that wernt found before, so its worth doing a re-tune as well.

Probably best to keep techy stuff over there as this is a money saving site after all!

The device is actually a HTC Monet. HTC are the company that make pretty much all the smarphones on the market (O2 XDA, Orange SPV, T Mobile Vario etc etc).

When I got the TV licence message I called Virgin to register my phone and they said it was already registered.
I went through the process again and pressed Yes to update my licence. Had to do it a couple of times because I think my reception wasn't fantastic. Make sure you have the TV aerial/earphones plugged in and stretch them out to give yourself the best chance of getting some reception. It took my phone about 10 minutes to download the licences.

just a thought but maybe 20,000 people didnt order this phone.
and from what i gather it was earlier posted on hkud a week before this was posted on mse

I first saw the offer on Modaco and posted it here but when I couldn't get the price the poster on Modaco got I asked for the post to be removed

also where can i get the tomtom software that will work. ive looked on ebay etc and cant find it at all??
