My brother can be a bit of an !!!!!!! at times, very arrogant in business, but even he wouldn't have the front to borrow without authorisation and turn into Rambo. Arrogant, but an astute businessman. I have visions of Helen's brother rampaging through the high street heading towards NATWEST with his vest all ripped... Am going to stop now. This is a serious matter.
I have to admire Helen, she's sticking to her guns on this one and nobody can deny her loyalty to her brother.0 -
What makes me laugh is how people think they can 'beat' the bank or get 'revenge'. It's pretty simple - you can't.
What sort of individual would deem it acceptable behaviour to even propose this?
Errr if you had have read my earlier posts - his company 'turned over' a Nat West bank in the early 90's for an amount at that time in excess of £100,000.
The manager at that time started to demand a reduction on an overdraft so he simply walked away from them. the bank had no security as the overdraft was secured by good name and reputation only.0 -

I'm staggered he was given any banking facilities at all if that's the case. If true he's proved he cannot be trusted with their money once before which makes his desire to get his own back even more ludicrous.0 -
Well done OP, you got yourself a good haul!
It started so plausibly, so I'm forgiving myself for getting hooked.....
Its clearly a wind up.......0 -
It has to be a wind-up. The brother has now "turned over" a NATWEST...0

"turned over a Natwest bank"....how many Natwest banks are there?
Bit of a come-down though for a serious criminal (sorry, someone with "a good name and reputation" :rotfl:) - he walked away from a debt in excess £100K in the early 90s, but only managed to walk away from £500 debt in 2013. What happened, has he lost his knack?0 -

But surely they could legally chase the company for the money as it would have been lent out with proof. Unless you mean your brothers company back then went bust?0 -
You see, he didn't really "turn over" Natwest, they've bided their time and are now getting their own back. They'll be rubbing their hands watching the brothers £500 debt grow every day. Pity he can't see this.
I thought in the 90's he was a whiz kid earning £100k ? Sounds more like a prize tw*t to me.0
