I had my Now TV trial earlier this year, and received an email with 2 codes for free Cineworld tickets, which must be used by the end of this month (July).
I just tried to book tickets using the code, only to get the message “This discount code does not exist.”
I emailed the email address to be used if there were any problems redeeming, only to get a non-delivery message
"Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
nowtvcinemapromotion@fotorma.co.uk
Technical details of permanent failure:
DNS Error: Domain name not found"
Any ideas as to how to get these tickets?

Wonder if we can report Now TV for not sticking to the terms of the promotion, anyone???
No tickets, no emails here, nothing :mad:0 -
Further to my post (#92 below), MSE Becca quickly got on the case. I gave her my codes, which she passed on to Now TV, and got the following reply.
" I have just tested both of these codes and they are still active, see screen print below.
It could have been an issue with Cineworld’s website at the time the customer tried to apply them, or the customer is attempting to use them to redeem tickets for a 3D performance, IMAX etc which are excluded.
Please can you advise the customer to try again & re-iterate that they’re for a standard 2D performance only."
Of course, I HAD checked the terms and tried to use them for a 2D film. I retried several times for different films, cinemas and dates, and using a different browser, but without any success.
I think that the offer was a scam.0 -

Im with talktalk for phone & bb, im with sky for tv but thinking of leaving & going to talktalk for tv too. I mainly record channels 1 to 5 on series link, is talktalk as easy to use as sky for this?0 -
I think that the offer was a scam.
Just in their defence, I got my codes and used them fine, so I think there may be a particular issue for you, but overall not a scam.
I think it was definitely not a well-managed promotion by NOW TV though overall as it got quite confusing.
Hope you get your codes sorted soon.
pippitypipI know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok - they know me here!0 -
Agree not a scam but awfully managed by Now TV - just really annoys me that I didn't get the tickets that were offered despite using the MSE code and NOW TV saying I didn't - not for one second could there be something wrong with their system - I wouldn't have even known about this offer were it not for MSE - awful customer service from NOW TV... :mad:0

Agree, how it helps their cause I don't know - the free trial actually put me off using them anyway! Let alone the mismanagement of the offer..I know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok - they know me here!0

I still had nothing, another month on, any news?
Beginning to give up..
Hi, I've just come back to this. Has everyone given up on this now? I didn't get the cinema tickets, but I also didn't give my details to MSE Becca when the chasing started. I guess I've just missed the boat completely?0 -

I haven't given up as such.
I keep meaning to chase Now TV directly and see if I can put in a complaint somehow.
I did give details to MSE Becca but not heard any updates since Now TV claimed incorrectly I didn't use the MSE code, which I did..
Be interesting to see how many of us there are?0 -
Hi, I hope someone who owns a NowTV Box can answer my question.
I was thinking this might be a good idea for a Xmas present for my Dad. He spends a fortune on a Sky subscription just for the occasional football match so this might serve him better and save him money. Problem is my Dad is utterly computer illiterate (I don't think he's ever used the internet) so the NowTV Box will only be good for him if it can be used as a completely standalone device.
So I was thinking, if I could set up his Sky ID and account and everything for him to set it going, can this device be used from then on without my Dad having to use the internet? Basically, can he purchase the occasional Sports one-day-pass through the NowTV Box itself? Is this what the "purchase PIN" allows. If he has to purchase the passes via the internet then this is no good for him. My Mum is the only one who uses the internet at their house but I want something that my Dad can use on his own without my Mum (or me) having to purchase passes online every time he wants to watch the football.
