Well, I've jolly well had enough! Yesterday while washing the dog's blankets the washing machine decided to trip out the electrics  I've had to ask DD2's dad for march's CSA early, (which will now b*gger up next months budget :( ) so I can get it looked at. I've bagged up some washing to take to my mum's but she'll only wash it over night so I won't be able keep up with it all that way.
The laptop did updates yesterday and it now playing up so I'll be smiling sweetly at my best friend's hubby to look at it and to look at DD2's laptop as that seems to have some type of lurgy :(

    Basic Flying

Still sat here so going to join in with the HHC............
  • Morning all,

Joining late this week as yesterday had to be devoted to studies.

Kitchen still shows some signs of last week's improvements so That spurs me on to do more this week.

Agree with all the mopping comments. I have similar trouble with vacuuming :o OH sleeps a lot during the day and I don't like to disturb him. Today I'll set him the opposite of a curfew - will vacuum at 4pm even if he hasn't appeared

Have a good day everyone :j

  • Well yesterday didn't go too badly. Pretty Kitty went to the vet - he's the only one we kept insured, but of course it was just under the excess.:(

Sympathy to those dealing with the CSA and DWP
It's nearly 20 years since I met the CSA and I still recall the rage and frustration that 3 letters always arrived at once, each giving a different, wrong, figure.
Now I'm grappling with DWP who put me in the Support Group in November but want to review already.

    Who has got my GUAG?

Been food shopping and done WM1 but that is it.

Dry skin - where is it? DS3 has a flare up now but from experience I know this is due to the start of the tree pollen season. His is creases of elbows, behind knees. Also ensure you are drinking enough water to hydrate from inside, in winter we often do not recognise thirst enough.

Right going to make DS1 lunch and take it to work along with the flea he shall be getting in his ear! Then my lunch.

Dailies are done, except for washing up but I'll do that after I've had lunch ;)

I've spent the morning fixing stuff from DD's room
    • A box sorted for her to put her keepsakes in (all the leaflets etc she like to keep from when she does stuff with Ex) which was coming apart, and had to be held together while the glue was drying
    • 2 drawer handles re-attached on a mini chest of drawers
    • Extra holes in a watch strap so she can wear it to school instead of the bright pink princess one she's having to wear ATM due to the number of watches with dead batteries
    • said watches added to my pile which I need to take somewhere to have the batteries replaced IF I remember to pick them up
    • 2 rubber zip-pull bits re-attached to 2 cosmetic bags which I washed yesterday
    • a scraper foil of a dolphin she did trimmed down and framed and now hanging in the kitchen
    • Cardboard model DD made in summer school stuck back together (triangular based pyramid that had completely collapsed), still more to do but I need to know from DD where the "accessories" get stuck on, so its as done as it can be.
    • Dust covers put back on books once I managed to track said books down - DD only has 230+books on the bookcase they were on, glad I didn't have to search the other one as well, that has another 50+ on!
    • Monopoly box taped back together
    • Small bag for guess who game cards found
    • Spent 40 mins sat here squeezing parts together while the glue set on a broken transformer toy...again
and I've lost count of how many cups of coffee I've had :rotfl: So I'm off to make a cup-a-soup then I'm going to read some of this book while I have a lunch break. Ironing will commence at 1pm...and I expect it to take me most of the afternoon so back to back films I think will be required ;)

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Well my HHC got the kitchen straight again and 100%. Thanks for the company and moral support ladies.

Have tackled some phone calls this morning without tears (although tight chested and flustered, I still feel rolled over by a steam roller)

    1) phoned Passport service to find out if I can use a family friend as signatory for DD2 passport photo (as I need someone who a- won't charge me and b- won't freak me out dealing with it) - good news is that she can as a Legal Costs Draughtsman as long as some supplementary info is given in a covering letter

    2) phoned to book my Glucose Tolerance Test (stuffed the form in cupboard and forgot that it is only the fasting one you can turn up for on-spec) going to be a rush for results to go back to GP from test on Thursday ready for my appointment on Monday afternoon

    3) phoned up steam mop company (this was froggy) and quicker than I could make a frog omelette, I was told a returns lable to print was waiting in my inbox to send it back and I can drop it off at a Collect+ point just round the corner from DS nursery, so :money: no extra petrol costs or postage to find:j:j:j

Postie has just been to deliver a cheque for the estate, so I have photocopied it, and will sneak off and bank it in a mo, and just email her in the middle of the night that it is done - really CBA to have any further texts or emails moaning and complaining today

Right I must devour that cuppa to give me strength to get on before nothing else gets done :o
