Been lurking a bit lately.
As tumble drier has packed in I have been spending a lot more time ironing
Have re-introduced the sin bin which is a sickly pink storage crate the toys from the hallway and the floor go in it and after a week if they are in it then I bin it! It has worked well so far - the kids are checking the box before bedtime and taking stuff back to their rooms.
Advice - anyone else's OH have 'man piles' - not the bum sort LOL;)
You know how it is first 2 or 3 letters then a few books, holiday brochures, music scores... So I got OH an in tray - now bulging, then put a pile in a box (12 bottle of wine size) which is now spilled over to a second box (6 bottle size) AND a storage basket next to the bed. I am NOt doing another grown-up's filing for them so how do I deal with this now? Should it join the kids stuff in the hall next to the sin bin!Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
I have done reading too!

All my good plans went to pot today - was given a load of pots and gardening stuff by a friend today, so have sorted out the garden a bit - but thats been it!!! Kitchen still needs doing, but im going to keep the living room for tomorrow. Bathroom and toilet have been swished, downstairs loo still needs to be done.
Ahhhh, never mind, will get some energy in a bit and do something!!!!0 -

Yeap sounds like you should put it next to the kids sin bin. Thankfully both me and my BF have our own studies, so if his pile of stuff last too long downstairs I just pick it up and put it in his study, that way I don't have to see it and if his study is a mess that's his problem.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Bad day, shattered meaning went back to bed this morning (up all night studying) woke and went to council meeting, they may regret inviting us when the audit recommendations come out put it that way, left there much later than planned, went to get printer cartridges, came back and was tea time. Barely done anything housework wise, lucky if I've hit level 2 so far, now have more study to do so decided will do that then some housework.
Well done to everyone, most have achieved much more than me so far so feeling a tad guilty. List for tomorrow will be posted in a mo as need to get that done before starting more study.
EDITED Lists done, 2 tasks for the Level One, but I think it's worth doing! One day I might be more organised...........

Dinner was yummy
I did the last of the windows in the kitchen - the big one over the sink I have to climb to - but didnt do the floor. I have to vac tomorrow in the lounge/dining room, hall and study so might as well do the utility then and have the kitchen floor mopped and drying while I vacuum! That's my excuse and I am sticking to it.Did the fridges too as shopping tomorrow at 6 am
Did my hotspot - and cleared a drawer of about 12 old takeaway menus!!
Am feeling quite virtuous even if I didnt do the floor and am set to tackle the 6 windows, 3 glass doors/surrounds, patio doors and the huge 6 x 4 mirror tomorrow .... help!!!!!
have a good relaxing evening peeps if you can.
Catch you all tomorrow - and thanks for the inspiration and energy!0 -
Everything done except the hoovering, which I'm going to leave and do all in one go, as it's a lot easier that way. Only changed the bed linen at the weekend, so not doing that one.
I'm running out of places to declutter. Am going to have a check through the wardrobe tomorrow to see if there is anything in there which now fits having lost a bit more weight.

lil-me give yourslef a hug from all of us. Remember all rooms will come around next week and if we all did level 3 everyday then we wouldn't all have much of a life outside (sorry for anybody acheiving this)
Sarahsaver I too am lucky OH has a separte study so anything he leaves lying around I put in there on his chair so he has to acknowledge it.
Shell hope your little one is home and recovering well and that you are not too shattered.
Pigpen I'll get/find some sugar soap - I understand the need for a scrapper. Do you use the sugar soap inside the oven on the bit that was silver and is now black?
Reaped the benefits of flying today as after tea house was tidy, jobs done so sat down in living room and played a couple of board games with DS3.
Doing well with hot spots. Cleared No 1 (kitchen side) last week and have not let it reform. Have started on No 2 today (my desk) and will keep at it until it is clear and then will move onto No 3 - a huge one the garage! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Lil_me, have another hug, you sound shattered.
Living room hoovered, widow sills de-cat-pawed, hotspot redistributed. Tha sofa throws need washing again but I don't trust the weather - we had HAIL today! The houseplants need a drink but it's survival of the fittest in this house so they can wait.
Feeling energyless this evening so I might just pootle in the kitchen for a bit then find some effortless TV.
Well done to those who've moved mountains and endured tough stuff today. Take it easy. One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400
