Just heard a quick article on swaddling on R4 and how swaddling with legs straight is leading to hip problems. I know it's been discussed before on here, but I'm posting because there's a link to good swaddling techniques that won't cause problems on the R4 website.

I've followed the link and it directs to the hipdysplasia.org website.

I'm a right hard !!! Fluff!! Only joking, we are very routine led really, certainly not relaxed, though hubby is! I might take myself to Waterstones and have a peruse through. Thanks for the link. x

You might like the Jo Frost stuff then. Or even Gina Ford.

There's so much advice out there. I think it's really important to pick the style that suits you.

Firstly me and Poppy are going to be making Easter cards on Friday, I was thinking of painting a stalk and using her hand prints to make the flower hand, I've never done hand prints before and can remember it being discussed on here recently so what is the easiest way and what type of paint should I buy? I want to use yellow paint to make daffodils!
I just use the standard ready mixed paint that you can buy everywhere for children to paint with. Funnily enough I was doing handprints today but on a canvas. I think the baby did better than the 5yo!

ETA: PS I'd love to see pictures when you're done.

Not taking the required totally ridiculous feed requirements yet, need to get there by tomorrow for a chance of Friday escape. Had almost forgotten how much I hated transitional care and the whole post natal ward talking to you like you've had a lobotomy and not a baby thing.

    Moral dilemma...

The baby's fed and watered and is happily watching highlights of the budget and gumming the remote control. You're on the sofa enjoying a much needed sitdown and decide to paint your nails for the first time in about 9 months. Just as you're finishing the second coat and admiring your work, the baby fills his nappy with a couple of days' worth of shit....

Ruin your newly painted nails or leave it until daddy comes home....? :rotfl:

    Congrats Dizzi

Had a great night last night. Amelia managed 10hrs sleep and Mollie 7 yay! Hoping for the same tonight

Went to baby group this morning with Grandad to help, he's very shy bless him and went bright red when it came to singing nursery rhymes at the end !! Its messy play next week to make Easter cards so have to take them in their scruffs (not that they're old enough to have them yet!). Was thinking of making Daddy a card if we (or I haha) can
