Morning
Saffagal glad you still had a lovely Christmas.
delain hope your baby is getting more sleep.
MrsHaworth sounds like you had a good Christmas despite not feeling Christmassy. I think I need to wean myself off the rubbish food too!
Claree I hope you get the job.
Cake4Brains I'm on a decluttering mission too! yesterday I had to get the living room floor clear despite being poorly and tired.
tiny couragous that flat cap is cute. I have spent a lot on baby clothes in the past two days! I didn't find anything I liked in the Next sale so I bought loads in the mamas & papas sale and the outlet.
LO slept great in his travel cot - he slept about 8 hours for the two nights we stayed over then woke up at 4am the first night at home! I had a fabulous family Christmas. LO had a funny boxing day - we visited his grandmas who insisted his crying was due to hunger and then his greatgrandma who insisted it was wind lol! turns out no one has a clue why he cries, not even us!
We gave LO some expressed milk that was 6 days old yesterday and I thought later that it might have been off. For the last two feeds last night he was really fussing at my breast and screaming and not even sucking at times. Then this morning he fed for a few minutes and started screaming. He's watching telly now and quite settled. I might have to express today just to keep my milk up and try giving him milk via bottle.
I'm not sure if the milk was off but I remember one of us having a similar experience where baby was fussing at the breast and feeding for a much shorter time than usual and it passed quickly. He is 16 weeks today so it could be a regression or teething too.0 -

Hello! Happy Christmas everyone!
We're still Christmassing here, we spent Christmas morning at home, then travelled to in laws, then on 27th came over to my parents, where we've met up with my sister and family. T is loving it, he cried on Christmas morning, I think because it was all so different and out of routine, but then got into the swing of it. He loves presents! Yes the wrapping paper/box, but also all his nice new toys... All of them.... I agree there is far too much stuff, but I'm a bit of a mean mummy and the slightly older stuff I've out to one side at home and will swap that over later in the year. We've bought a bigger box to keep the toys in though! I've found everyone is so generous for a new baby, people I've barely exchanged Cards with over the years are sending him gifts and toys, so lovely.
MrsH, I'm the same as you, Christmas hasn't felt as Christmassy as usual. Maybe it's because I couldn't flounce about as much, an evening with a nice drink and nuts, wrapping pressies all afternoon with a Christmas movie and the biggest killer was having to do the Santa deed... I maybe 32 and was enlighted to the secret of Santa many years ago, but the final straw was actually fulfilling the role, seemed to steal the magic completely!
Saf, poor you, definitely an alternative Christmas, one to remember! Hope you've managed to get to your In laws for a Celebration now and flooding hasn't messed you up too much.
Benice, I think 6 days is ok if it's been in the fridge, think you're right, LO could just be fussing. T is still a bit topsy turvy on routine with the excitement of everything going on.
New Years resolution.... Be smaller this time next year than I am now! Frumpy, fat mum syndrome going on here with post Christmas spread.
It's 8.45 and T and DH still asleep.... Lovely!
Catch you all later!

Hi I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas? Xx
Does anyone here have a Renault Grande Scenic and use an isofix seat? I want to buy a base for ours as I'm finding using the seat belt awkward with my back problems, google is suggesting that I can't fit one to my car due to floor storage but I don't get why the car has isofix points?! I would be grateful of any advise!
Christmas was lovely, my son loved every minute and it was wonderful having our baby girl with us tooslightly upset my family haven't bothered to contact/ come see us though
my son keeps asking why and I don't know how to answer.

I was just going to post something similar. DD does have a cold at the moment so I know that's part if it but she isn't feeding well at all. Fed her last night at 11, she went down till about 7, had a feed, and then had another brief feed at 10.30 but that's it so far.
I really can't decide if she's teething or not, she constantly seems to be sucking her thumb and there's lots of dribble. Does anyone else have a thumb sucker ? Keep trying her with a dummy but she's just not interested!0 -
I was wondering about this too Amus and BeNice, could it be all the rich Christmassy food? LO has been fussy every day since Boxing Day and I've been hitting the chocolate and mince pies pretty hard! She's been so screamy and gassy when feeding I have to stop for 10 mins to calm her down and then try again. I did wonder about teething too...0

thumb sucker here too! just can't keep the dummy in. LO is taking breast sometimes but kicking off at others today. Maybe it is rich Christmas food. Also breastfeeding pattern is interrupted more by visits and visitors maybe? His behaviours do match those of a development leap too tho. So much of this parenting malarky is a guessing game. Weren't we supposed to have the answers when we grew up lol!0 -
Thanks for the good luck people, not sure what time he's going to call today but I'm very nervous!!
We've been staying at my mums this weekend and she's totally unsettled in her travel cot. She's usually okay for other people but it seems to be when I'm around. She's been waking in the night for a feed for the last week or so but gradually taking less and less of her bottle so last night I got her up, cuddled her and she went back to sleep - wee pest :rotfl:My Debt Free Diary

Good luck with job Clare
Saffagal hugs for poor weather disrupting your plans
We had an ok Christmas, very tiring though I cooked from in laws on Christmas Day and then my family on Boxing Day. C enjoyed the attention but got v cranky by the end of it.
His sleep is still v unsettled, he has 2 teeth coming up I think, can see two bulges just under the gums, poor guy. DH is still on holidays, we seem to be arguing all the time. Really I think sleep deprivation is playing a big role but he is sooo lazy sometimes. I asked him to get up with c this morning after his first feed. It took him 20mins to get up and then 10 mins to get ready to take him and then 15 mins later he was back in to ask something g silly. I even had to tell him to change him! Then I had planned to go out for an hour but couldn't till he finished getting ready for the day. Grrr am out now and he is texting me! I feel harassed. I don't mind but am heading back to yoga next week so I have an evening off and you swear I was leaving the bloody country, which I must admit I have thought about following 4 months averaging less than 6 hours sleep. Am beginning to look forward to DH going back to work, which is awful0 -

Thanks love
I know what you mean about your oh. To be fair to joe, he'll ask if I want him to go get the baby in the morning but if I say yes he'll fuss about for about 10 mins before even getting up.
He's getting really frustrated 'cause she'll only go down for a nap for me - if I'm about. If he's on his own she'll cuddle in and sleep but if she knows I'm there she'll only cuddle in to me. I don't do anything differently than he does and it's bothering him. I'm getting a bit annoyed at him moaning about it 'cause it's hardly my fault! My Debt Free Diary
