Been quite busy here as I'm sure you can imagine! I look forward to reading about how you all got on :D

Why is it that all baby toys are huge? Where are we going to put this stuff :rotfl:
  • Know what you mean Claree - we have got bags and bags of things to clutter up the living room. No idea where everything is going to go!

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. We went to relatives yesterday and had a few people round for a buffet today. Some people cancelled cos they've all got bad colds. Was a good day though.

The girls are loving all the attention!

LO charmed everyone on Christmas day, thoroughly enjoyed cuddles and all the attention. MIL relented and didn't smoke in the same room as him and it was a lovely afternoon at hers. It must have been too much for him though as he's been tired and grumpy today. He was also more congested and snuffly than usual last night so I don't think he slept well. I was up twice with him which is more than usual. Have got a calpol plug in which seems to help, and he's feeding and filling nappies as usual so I'm not too worried.

Have ordered some clothes for him in the H&M sale and Boots sale, lots of long sleeve t shirts and jogging bottoms as he seems to live in those at the moment.
My mum got him a flat cap for Christmas. Its the cutest thing I've ever seen. http://www.hm.com/gb/product/03613?article=03613-A

Ooh a calpol plug in sounds like exactly what I need! OH is out at a concert tonight, ironically a band I used to go see every week but I just couldn't be bothered this time 'round. Eilis took ages to settle tonight which is very unlike her. Can't decide whether to go to bed now or watch the rest of Harry Potter.

Got an email from the accountant I sent a speculative email to saying he'll call me on Monday about a maternity cover position. It would be absolutely ideal and my dream job but I'm trying hard not to get my hopes up! Bit worried about how much child care will cost too.
  • Good morning ladies! Hope everyone had a nice Christmas?

Don't get me started on toys, I had to cut open so many on Christmas Day and they're packaged so flipping good, I'm sure MI5 would struggle to get into them! All the little pieces were going everywhere, I had to Hoover after opening presents to ensure lo didn't try to eat any plastic! Gr

We spent Christmas morning at home with lo having some champagne and getting all Christmassy. Then we went over to the in laws for Christmas dinner and lo was so good all day! We came home for about 8, gave him a bath and then put him to bed. I ate far too much and have now decided I'm going to try hard to not eat crap all next year.

Have to say though, even on Christmas Day, I have never felt Christmassy this year :( boo!

How was everyone else's Christmas? Santa been nice to you all?

    Hey hey :D

I ate far too much as well but figured a few days wont do too much damage :o

Children all seem happy, toddler wise the cheap buggy from sainsburys went down the best I think, along with squeak's new bike.

OH went to work this morning and came into the bedroom and woke little miss (who was in my bed and had a shocking night's sleep) to ask what I'd done with his hi vis  he got an earful anyway as I havent seen it since he's had it last... and now I'll have a grumpy tired baby all day!

Hi ladies :) Hope you and LO's are all well x

We didn't have the Christmas that we'd planned but it was still lovely. We were housebound due to the flooding in the south east; so instead of going to the inlaws we spent A's first Christmas at home - just the three of us! And it was lovely. We skyped both my folks and OH's family so they all got to see A in her Christmas outfits.
Luckily we didn't lose our power, and I had done a big shop to restock the freezer just before we went away so we had plenty of food in. We were stuck at ours from Tuesday morning until this morning; at the worst point (on Christmas day), the water was over waist height (not that I waded through, but I watched others doing so). Did meet a number of other villagers I'd not met before which actually I really enjoyed. Trying to arrange to go and see all the inlaws for a belated Christmas celebration now.

    Take care all x
