MrsH, no advice I'm afraid on the milk.
Hot hot hot here, it's 32 degrees and went for a walk round the shops for a bit of a cool down .... love air con! But T got pretty sweaty in his car seat. Just playing on his mat now, cooling off (he's playing on the mat, not me!)0 -
Comfort made explosive poops here, I think it's pretty normal tbh for comfort milk and the whole time he was on it he had green coloured poop, and I was told all normal by health professionals.
Any change of formula though can result in disrupted bowels for up to 10 days, so I'd probably advise against chopping and changing.
Has he been tested for any sort of intolerances? The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Nope not been tested for intolerance, we changed him because the staydown makes him constipated so I thought it would be softer on his bowels, dr said to do whatever I needed to get him to 6 months weaning? So plan was to have him on this for 3/4 weeks but he's been on it a week and today had a poo after every feed and was really windy and grouchy!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

I was naughtyand starting giving my LG fromage frais at 17 weeks , but it was literally a few spoons every other day. It was the Ella's kitchen stuff I think which says it is suitable for weaning. Then a little baby rice made with breastmilk, then gradually I built it up to 1 small meal. She was a cheeky child and loved it.

He may have no issues there but I'd be inclined to get it checked out. My friends little one was only diagnosed with a milk intolerance at 12 months old and she too had constipation issues/explosive poops etc. I just find it weird how the milks have such adverse affects on himWhat is he like on normal milk? The reflux bad?

hiya, thanks so much for everyone's advice. I totally agree about the info on breastfeeding. All I've been told is how beneficial it is etc etc there was never any mention of problems we might encounter. Like thrush, which we have had twice
extremely painful and led to sore bleeding nipples and I nearly stopped then. My friend who's little one is 6 wks older than mine has suffered with low milk supply and so combifeeds but can't increase her supply. These problems can really get you down, especially a new first time mum who is trying her best. Defo need more info about how difficult it can be.
Anyway, to those that asked, I do try with a little routine at night, every other night it's a bath, bedtime lotion massage, sleepsuit and either a warm bottle or BF. I have tried Bf during the day then formula all through the night and it made no difference, I express too so my supply wasn't affected. I use formula as and when, depending on what we are up, who's here etc. The cartons are so handy for out and about especially if yr not sure he will need a feed. I did try a BF group last week and felt kinda uncomfy, I am just not the type to whap my baps out in front of strangers but they were friendly, not sure if I'll go again or not.
I have had to buy the mesh bumper for his rocking crib as he keeps poking his legs out and wriggling to the top and getting himself in all kinds of shapes!
Thanks again for all advicewill be nice getting to know y'all

If you have any doubts about your supply, eat lots of oats, especially yummy flapjacks, they really help
Sounds like you've tried a variety of things, it could just be a case of riding it out which I know atm sounds crappy
Try to catch 40 winks whenever you can. xx

Thanks Gilly, my supply is pretty good but I did start taking fenugreek to increase it slightly and I have seen a slight increase which is good. Having a better night tonight, did a late bath, warm bottle and swaddle routine and he has slept over 3 hours
fingers crossed for the rest of the night!

3 hours Dippy? Good stuff. Keep doing what you're doing, sounds like it will all click into place eventually. When I was expecting a GP friend said about bf that it's really alot more difficult than people make it out to be and hurts like hell. Expect that and if it does all click into place it's a bonus.
Curtains open in bed here as trying to get some air through, bonus is watching the beginnings of a beautiful sunrise :-)0 -
I haven't read back, sorry. I'm really freaking out. Dewi is 7 months and I've just realised that we can't afford him
I don't think I can afford to stay off.
But I can't afford to go back either.
!!!!!! do I do?0
