I am really considering it too. I think we're going to go for a Rose and Rebellion Pre-School Carrier, should be big enough for your LO too. I have tried an Ergo and really liked it and it was easy enough to get him on but I felt it was on the small side.

My LO has decided the pram is for wimps and wants to walk everywhere but then he obviously runs out of steam so it'd be handy to have with me :o

Thank you :) Although now I'm almost wishing I hadn't asked - now I really really want a Rose and Rebellion Pre-School Carrier! They're so expensive! I must admit I'm not a fan of their crazy patterns, but the one called Secret Garden isn't bad, and there's always the 'reversible to plain black' option. Hmmm, I may be about to spend £115!

Edited to add: Just been looking at Ergos too and much prefer the look of them... It says they're suitable for up to 20kg, but did you find it smaller than the Rose and Rebellion?

    Hi Saf. Congrats!

Re boys peeing... take the nappy back for the air to get in but lay the top back over. They do seem to stop doing it. My dad said that my brother ALWAYS had to be covered with a muslin. May lead to many wet muslins but easier than a clothes change!

I gave Dewi a boobie juice ice lolly today. He loved it. Trying to put it on fb for those that are on there. Won't upload atm though :(

Much smaller! A is around 21.5 lbs atm and I didn't feel super comfy with him in it, it was ok, but not sure I'd shell out as it felt a bit tight for comfort. Connectas (you can get them in toddler size) are supposed to be really good too and they're slightly cheaper. Maybe check if there's a sling library near you, would mean you could try them out before shelling out :) x

Not sure about the specifics of the carrier you want, but in general the resale value is very good so worth searching on fleabay to see what they're fetching to balance it out ;)

Have good news - for the first time EVER my LO has self settled at bed time without even a small cry :j she does it happily during the night, just never before at bedtime. It's only taken her 24 weeks ;)
Simple things and all that :o

Am off to bed as DH got early start for work so I need to be up and out to take DD1 to preschool. Luckily for me they don't seem too bothered by my unfinished look so early :rotfl:

Also managed to catch some rays this afternoon as planned so my milk bottle arms and neck line now look a little healthier in time for Sunday :T

Welcome newbies - everyone here is very helpful :D

Oooh, that's great jonno, what did you do? Mine is also 24 weeks and I'd love to know how to get to self settling stage at bedtime, she also does it sometimes during the night, although not always, and I'd love to know what to do.

Hallo ladies, just introducing myself. My little girl, Abigail, was born on the 26th Apr by emergency section and weighing in at just over 4kgs.

I've been reading for a little while but not posted on this thread as yet as despite my little girl being 5 weeks old, I still can't quite believe she is mine, or that hubby and I created her and I grew her for 9 months.

I am loving this change in my life - becoming a mom. It is an amazing job, and being able to spend my days with her is awesome. In just five weeks, she has already changed so much - she's starting smiling and laughing especially as I'm changing her and she does a wee in between nappies, needing an entire clothing change!

I will however, be very glad when I can get behind the wheel of my car again as I have been limited to walking into the village when its not raining since DH went back to work, and I am going slightly potty being practically housebound and dependent on others. My GP is a little old school and won't sign me off till 6 weeks. Saying that, I am a little anxious about our first outing in the car as she has to go in the back as I can't turn my passenger airbag off in my car.

Hope that you're all well and enjoying today's sunshine!
    Saf xx

Nice to hear you're doing ok.
Don't envy the not driving. I love getting out and about with Ted. It's when he's most settled.x

    Thank you everyone :)

Re driving, my insurance company says as long as my doc says I'm fit to drive I'm covered so without doc's say so I'm not. I quite agree re walking, and have been walking a mile most days since 2 and a half weeks post.

Thanks for the nappy tip for girls, I'll see how I get on with it.

    Hey Ladies

Sorry havent been about much. A couple of our friends have just split up this weekend, bit difficult as we are friends with them both so I have her txting me and OH has him txting him...awkward!

Safgal, welcome :) I couldn't turn my airbag off either, so I had a little mirror thing, it goes on the back windscreen and you can see baby in your rear view mirror - was quite handy and reassuring I found.

Katie, sorry your mum is poorly :( sending her lots of get well wishes.

We don't have a carrier, so can't help there I am afraid. xxxx
