Mine had a good night too. It was difficult to put her to sleep, but finally went down at 8pm and woke up for a feed at 3am. She stirred at midnight and one o'clock before that but went back to sleep after giving her the dummy or holding her hand. She fell asleep again at 3:30am and up for the day at 7am. I actually feel quite rested!
I hope your mum improves soon, katiechoc.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Hope your mum is on the mend Katie. At least you'll be able to see her soon.
LO had gd night slept from 7.30-8.15 (allowing me to cook tea and eat it) then 8.30 til 5. Fed for 45 minutes then back until 7.50 :T
Managed to get 25 maternity items listed on fleabay yesterday. Have put a couple of baby items on today as LO is napping. Have a couple more maternity ones to go on when I get the iron out again. Have also bagged up some clothes for my friend who is expecting to borrow. Her fella is over today so that will give me more space. Will sell them when I get them back. I know it may seem like I have loads but I had to buy again second time round as I'd lent everything to my friend and she didn't give them back (despite lots of asking) until I was 38 weeks  oh well, I'll get a few quid back now hopefully.
LO is being baptised on sun so have last few bits of organising to do for that. Popping to 1kea tomorrow for some napkins and I need to pick up some shoes I've reserved, oh and take a dress back as I bought 2 so I could see what OH thinks. So a busy week probably, would like to catch a few rays too if I can
Taking DD1 to friends later hopefully we can all get out in the garden
Have a lovely day everyone
P.s. if you're lurking cake - thinking of you0 -
Thanks jonno7 and Marta
Glad there were a few improved nights!
We've just been to Tesco, they've got bags of ball pool balls on for £3.75 in their seasonal aisle so got a bag and going to blow up his padding pool to use as a ball pit in the garden after dinner.

Ok I'm going to say it! I'm bored of my little boy weeing and pooing on me when I'm changing his nappy, he seems to wait until I take the dirty one off and I'm cleaning him..... Is this typical of boys? Lol! It was funny at first.... Now it's getting less funny!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

Me too! Apparently mil said it's the cleaning of his bum that stimulates him to poo and when the air hits his bits it stimulates wee.
Don't know how to stop it though!0 -
Hallo ladies, just introducing myself. My little girl, Abigail, was born on the 26th Apr by emergency section and weighing in at just over 4kgs.
I've been reading for a little while but not posted on this thread as yet as despite my little girl being 5 weeks old, I still can't quite believe she is mine, or that hubby and I created her and I grew her for 9 months.
I am loving this change in my life - becoming a mom. It is an amazing job, and being able to spend my days with her is awesome. In just five weeks, she has already changed so much - she's starting smiling and laughing especially as I'm changing her and she does a wee in between nappies, needing an entire clothing change!
I will however, be very glad when I can get behind the wheel of my car again as I have been limited to walking into the village when its not raining since DH went back to work, and I am going slightly potty being practically housebound and dependent on others. My GP is a little old school and won't sign me off till 6 weeks. Saying that, I am a little anxious about our first outing in the car as she has to go in the back as I can't turn my passenger airbag off in my car.
Hope that you're all well and enjoying today's sunshine!

On weeing when changing the nappy (for girls), I put the new one underneath the old one first. Open the old one, fold it on itself so she is still sitting on it, basically push the nappy bit in front of you between her legs and sit her on it. I then proceed to clean the front, when this is ready I put her legs up by either holding her by the ankles or holding the waist up from the back, and clean the rest. At this point I get the old nappy out and I put her down again on the clean nappy. At least if she wees in between it goes onto either nappy and her clothes don't get wet. Obviously with boys is different, but I very rarely have a wee accident now.
It's magical, isn't it? They are so tiny and delicate when they are born! I was in no rush to go out or do anything, though. I felt like my body was a big bruise itself, everything hurt or I was ultra tired or very uncomfortable. But so worth it!it's great when they start smiling
Wow, oh wow, here. She had a 40min nap in her cot, I joined her late and when she woke up I had only had 20min of my nap and was cravingmore sleep, so I put her with me in bed to have another 5 min whilst she played with my face... Next I know she's fallen sleep again with her hands on my face. Just woke up (me) and we've slept another 2h and a half that way!!!! And she's still sleeping!!! Who changed my baby?! Lol
Edit: of course, she woke up when I posted it, lol. But still, two days in a row of unheard long naps!!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Marta I'm with you, for the last 3 days I've put him back in his basket in the bedroom to nap and each time he's slept for 2hrs, and this is the boy that cried and cried and only slept in my arms from birth! Loving it, I also had a nap today, this weather must be making us mummy's tired!
Regarding wee at changes, I tried the old nappy underneath, however with him having a "thing" it snakes wee all over my hands and jeans lol! Give me a girls privates anyday! Less unpredictable heheNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0
