I find it shocking that you 'may not bother with MMR' and dismiss measles as a 'common childhood illness'. It's a killer. And mumps can render men sterile. The world is a far better place for having controlled these 'common childhood illnesses' through vaccination programmes. Do you know what devastation and misery diseases like smallpox, polio, diphtheria, whooping cough, measles etc. caused? Have you any idea how many children are still dying or are maimed for life because of these diseases (except for smallpox thankfully)? We are so lucky to live in a first world country with a first world approach to healthcare.
Honestly, your post is utterly, utterly ignorant and scare-mongering and I urge everyone reading to find out the facts, not the hysterical conspiracies such as you promote.
I did not say I am against vaccinations and I am not trying to "promote hysterical conspiracies". My LO did get all his vaccinations up to date which I think is the best proof I'm not totally against them. But I do believe there are risks associated with vaccines that we are not being told about and wanting to find out more about the potential dangers doesn't make me a bad and ignorant parent.
You're right about measles being a killer, of course. I was in a hurry before baby group and made a mistake - I never had measles and only know one person who did. I had both mumps and rubella and these are the illnesses that I branded as "childhood illnesses" based on my personal experience. When I was growing up we only got a vaccine for measles so mumps and rubella were common in primary school children.0 -
Also can't compete but it's the best smile we've caught on camera!0

Hi ladies, hope you and littlies are all good.
It's been AGES since i was last on, life seems to be speeding by and my lil lady is already 18 weeks boooo!
We're sitting up unaided here and she is so pleased with herself, hv at baby massage didn't believe me that she could but thankfully she's more then happy to show the world her new skill so sat with a massive grin for her today - as a result she's given me a massive pile of paperwork about weaning as with sitting up and grabbing things to put them in her mouth she's 'ready' - no interest in it yet so will file it all away for a month or so!
Aww super cute pics Bamama and Peanut, gorgeous lil faces!
After all the mentions of the jumperoo on here I HAD to have one lol, she loves loves loves it - we've got the rainforest one and although the music/noises annoy my oh a lot it is my favourite baby related purchase!
Welcome to all the new mummys who've joined since I was last here and happy birthday to all those whose 1st birthdays I missed x0 -

She loves them! Every now and then she'll pick one up and play with it, open and close the strap and touch the little ribbon on it. She wore them at the nursery for the first time yesterday, and a little boy touched them - she was having none of it! :cool:0 -

:rotfl:I do wonder if Noah, George and Aiden are treating their new shoes with the same level of affection?!... But then her shoes *are* very pretty if I may say so myself
Had a major baby brain moment this evening. Ladies, do not try this at home! I switched on the steriliser and went to put LO to bed. When I returned to the kitchen I discovered that I'd left my phone on top of the steriliser, neatly covering the holes that the steam is meant to escape from! :eek:The phone was very hot and damp, but amazingly it's still in good working order - and just as well; I've only had it for a couple of months.
Off to bed - expecting another messy nightNight all x

I had a little nose online at the girly shoes that Clarks sell, so cute.
Is it the Ella star shoes you bought nutella? They were the only ones I found that had a little ribbon (bow)
