My friend only has to pay an extra £10 something for the extra bedroom. He is not moving..

Can I just say When I was a single mum of 2 and moving over 300 miles I packed my whole house myself, did many tip runs myself, took my wooden floor up in living room myself, took my fire place myself, took curtain poles down myself, ripped up new bedroom carpet myself, took a play house down myself AND I drove a 3 tonner myself (I rented this and friend drove another). I was also working my notice at work full time and feeding the kids.

    hu hummm

I'm impressed, now try doing that in a wheelchair, or with one arm or leg missing, or whilst blind etc.

Alternatively they could pay a small amount towards their rent.

Or that, cutting down on luxuries such as food shouldn't be a problem.

Perhaps they could use the same method that they did when they moved in? Not every disabled person is as useless as you imply!

You seem to think disabled people are useless idiots.....i'm disabled use 2 sticks and a wheelchair and i could pack and move from one property to another on top of copius amounts of pain relief medication.

They could simply use their budget more efficiently, just like those in private rentals and owner occupiers have to?

Depends on how dangerous the house is. They may have moved in with a full complement of limbs but over time.... Social housing can be very dangerous! Tigers, mantraps etc.

Not at all, I was just pointing out that for some, it is not as easy, or even possible.
