Well, been easy for me so far as I've been laid up in bed ill... Back into work today and a friday and my first friday night. This will be a challenge. Think I'll buy some more lollies for tonight as they seem to help a little.

I'm rather impressed at how some of you lot are really doing at the moment. It really does seem to be quite an effective support group. :D
  • Day 27 - doing fine, feeling a little low but will keep on top of it.

Hubby is off out tonight so I am looking forward to a girly night in on my own...strange how one of the first things to cross my mind is 'I could buy some cigs and smoke them and nobody would know'

I won't, of course, but the thought still crosses my mind!

Well done everyone - keep it up :T

For some reason they seem to play that just as I'm getting a craving, it has me scrambling for the remote to throw at the telly :D

Don't forget, you're under no obligation to go outside with the smokers at work, just console yourself when they come back in that you don't smell like that anymore!

I was shocked at the wedding last week when the smokers came back in how bad they [strike]stunk [/strike][strike]stank [/strike][strike]stunked [/strike][strike]smelt [/strike]smelled ( ) when they came back in, asked OH if I was that smelly and she said yes

Don't be down MFD, think of the fun you'll have tonight while hubby's away, do the girls smoke? Hopefully not, then you'll not miss any of the excitement and they'll not be able to talk about you behind your back like they inevitably would if you nipped out for a smoke!! (I know how women are ;) )

Think I'd best duck and cover now lol

    Morning all

Went to the theatre last night to see Avenue Q, totally hilarious..anyway, my friend has started smoking again a few weeks ago after 5 years  and she's quite disappointed in herself and aims to pick a date this month to stop again. We were talking about the things only smokers think about, for example, she's a regular theatre go'er and over the past 5 years has never had to rush to the loo during the interval or rush to get a drink cos she's had to fit a fag in too. She's also noticed when sitting on the underground she's constantly aware that she's in an enclosed space and counts the time down to be up on the street so she can light up. It's just amazing that all the things we 'actually have to do' is fit around having a fag instead of the other way round :rotfl:

We went outside the theatre during the interval so she could have a fag and oh my god as soon as you got to the theatre doors there was like a smokey haze coming through the doors and the smell was overpowering, there must've been about 40 people huddled round the door smoking!
