We have decided not to adopt or anything at the moment.
I am only 25 (hubby is 32) and we are both very selfish, we like our jobs, our holidays and our lifestyle, we dont want children at the moment and not for a good few years anyway - it was just a moment of suckyness, lol
Im not going to hijack the thread but just wanted to say thanks x

Sat here on tenterhooks at the moment, DH is back from the stag weekend but now in the pub with the lads watching Spurs V Chelsea cup final. They are now in extra time and spurs have just scored, please god let them win, I can't take the misery of DH when spurs lose, it's as though he's going to cry for the rest of the night. This is gonna be a very tense half hour, especially if it goes to penalties :undecided
Good job they won then !! Hi Jo:hello:
Hi everyone, been obsessing about other stuff on other threads so not much time over here..... to update I'm still having the odd one here and there but know that could easily get me back into smoking again all the time. Told OH who says he doesn't mind as long as it's not when I'm with him as he catagorically HATES IT !! I hate it too... why is it so hard ??
Hi puzzledbubbles- sounds like a very stressful situation which must have been very hard to cope with. ((((Hugs))))) I can't even justify mineMTC's NO MORE PIES MEMBER NO 202 !!!

Hi and :hello:
Still going strong although I must admit to a few thoughts about smoking lately. Dont know why but I suppose when you have done something for 27 years it is hard not to remember it sometimes. Coming up to 3 months soon so really chuffed. Wont be long before it is just normal and I dont need or care to remember when i did smoke.
To those who have succumbed recently do not despair. Your time will come it is just a matter of when not if. It took me about 10 attempts to stop before I saw the light this time.
Never give up giving up :T
Take care

I think its different for everyone TBH but as a starting point why do you want to give up. For me it was the health issue and total waste of money that could be spent better elsewhere! I tried the tabs (made me feel sick), patches (dizzy) and settled on the lozenges which I have when I fee a nicotene craving coming on and it seems to work! Keeping hands busy (just about to start a tapestry) and on here! helps! Cleaned the house so all feels lovely & fresh & clean! Lungs feeling better 3 days later but not at the easier stage yet....hugs for you all!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Tricky one mumzy, stress and free cigarettes - but really if you want to do it and its your time stress and free cigarettes shouldn't stop you. I stoppped because my dh wanted to, I did but didn't (if you know what I mean)particularly want to, but went along with him (he's still smoking). But once I started I knew I couldn't stop it had to be now or never for me and I simply couldn't face NEVER!!
Coming on here helped me loads, typing how I felt everytime I wanted one, getting the support from the others here but the biggest thing was trying to find the funny side - my nicotine monster was called Mr Nick O'Teenand he sat on my left shoulder whilst my guardian angel sat on my right :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: for me it really was a battle of good and evil:rotfl: ! Whatever, it [STRIKE]worked[/STRIKE] works for me. Hope I haven't driven you to reach for the fag packet! You can do it mumzy and just think you'll have a lovely pink tongue too!
love and hugs
