Thanks YM. I have to say money's a bit tight just now, so I can't afford to smoke even if i got the urge. Especially as I decided it would be a gr8 plan to join MFI3 late last year-no we won't have it all paid off-I wish, but i am hoping we can make some overpayments to at least reduce the time, even if it's only £20 a month. I'm avidly saving for our wedding too (later this year but nothing, planned, booked or organised!!!). We're also de-junking the house and I am avidly trying to list some stuff on ebay to raise some cash, as well as the quidco, pigsback etc etc. So as you can see, I'm so busy I haven't got time to think about havin a cig!!! thanks for caring tho.
    By the way........Rant over!!

Cath, I know I am being really thick, but what is MFI3? and being extra extra dim - what does lol mean?

Good luck with your de-junking, could do with doing that myself, but always manage to find an excuse not to bother.
Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time

Hi Melbury. No you're not being thick. MFI3 is mortgage free in 3 years. It's a challenge thread on here, and I decided (in my infinite wisdom) that we should join it (particularly as I worked out our interest on the mortgage (if it went to term) would be over £95,000 :eek::eek:
    lol means laughing out loud

OMG!! That is something I was NOT expecting to read mate!!!!!

Right, well obviously you now know how much that half a ciggie helped your "rubbish at home situation"... I know it is not the "friend's" fault, but were they the one with the ciggies?! I would not have given you one!!! But then smokers are not exactly happy about people leaving their little club as I've learned in the past 3 months!

Like I've said before, there are no such things as mistakes as long as you LEARN from them. Please please please don't now think you might as well have a packet. The most important thing you could probably do for the rest of your life is get through the next 3 days (like you have done before) and get that nicotine out of your system and NEVER TAKE ANOTHER PUFF!!! You have done SO WELL, please don't quit quitting now!!!

If you have to, write down now how rotten you feel and how revolting the half a ciggie actually was. It might help if you get the wobbles again... ;)

Oh BAS!!!! What a shame. Don't worry, though. it is a mere blip in five weeks + of great work. Put it behind you and climb back on the wagon :)

And BTW it took more strength to put that ciggy in your mouth than you think, so you weren't being 'weak'. You are stronger than you know and can crack this.

    Hope everyone's ok today :D

:DNeigh, neigh, and thrice neigh :D

Hiya. Out all day yesterday so I couldn't check in... sorry.

I know that many a true word is spoken in jest but ... am I getting annoying?

I know that I'm happy about the fact that I've quit and honestly all I ever do is try to help others feel just as happy that they have too.... If I ever sound patronising or "full of it" then I'm truly sorry. All I get every day is someone telling me that they never believed in a million years that I would ever quit. Honestly, you guys don't know me but in real life I'm such a loser at everything - fat, smoker, etc, nobody ever thought I would actually do it. But I have. And now I'm dealing with the "fat" thing too. You can't keep me out of the gym now I can breathe properly. ;)

Anyway... point is... if I'm winding people up then I'd rather know.:o

No way - you're not getting annoying at all, please keep providing us with your inspirational posts.
