Yes that is what I have got!! Does that mean my computer is useless?

No, it means that too many people have downloaded the picture so photobucket have decided to stop displaying it in the hope that whoever's picture it is will pay them money.

    thanks for the welcome everyone
new leaf is the local nhs quit smoking service, i thought it was a national thing though, are we worse smokers in nottinghamshire or something lol

i keep reaching for my ashtray and ciggies this morning and they are not there. and i don't even realise what im doing until my hand doesnt find what its looking for so i look round to see.

today is going to be the worst day right? it will get easier tomorrow? so tempted to get dressed and go round the shop just for 10 and ive only been awake for 2 hours.

I still do that sometimes even after 3 weeks, especially during the evening with a drink. I just reach over to get a ciggie out of my tin, but there is nothing there. Then it hits me - I don't smoke anymore. That is really the worst time, still cannot get used to not having a cig then. But there are many many positive things about stopping, so it is well worth persevering.
Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time

Im having a harder day than yesterday, knew it was to good to be true!!LOL
I too keep reaching for the fags and they arent there, and getting in the car and go to open the window because i normally would light up!!
But iv now completed 1 day 20 hours!!! Almost at my 2 day mark, which is fantastic, i cant belive iv done it. I keep getting a nasty taste in my mouth every few hours by a quick brush of the teeth and lots of mint keeping it from bothering me.
I have to admit i wasnt looking forward to tonight as we normally chill out and i tended to smoke more at the weekend, so iv just been shopping only for goodies, lots of crisps, chocolate and anything that took my fancy really!!! I know i will put weight on this way but once iv cracked the smoking i can always diet!!
    Keep going everyone

awww Donna you are doing so well - just try to occupy yourself with something when the cravings come along. You must be nearly through the worst so things can only get better. I have just taken my DDog down to the beach for a good run - if I had still been a smoker I dont think I would have managed the walk back up the steps
I am trying to eat a bit more healthily today too as I have spent the last 2 weeks stuffing my face with absolute crap :p so far today I have had a bowl of special k, a banana, a bowl of HM carrot & lentil soup with 2 slices of garlic bread and a yoghurt. So far so good but just wait till tonight when I get the munchies :rotfl:
How is everybody else doing this weekend ?

  • i have a feeling my house is going to be spotless again by the end of the week.

trouble is a ciggie was always my bribe for doing the housework.

i go one of those inhalators to try, its good having something in my hand and better to chomp on than sweets but isnt helping wiht the i want a cig cravings any.

7 hours to go til i hit the 24hour free mark. doesnt sound so bad when i think of it that way.

  • i dont have the cleaning gene either, i have to force myself most of the time. right now my house is a mess, apart form inside the kitchen cupboards. i havent felt like tidying or cleaning this week but did the cupboards when i couldnt sleep the other night.
im actually seriously considering getting cleaners in to do a proper spring clean for me, but im not sure i can justify that really. maybe my treat for quitting smoking if i last 4 weeks. i do love a cleana nd clutter free house, just so rarely do i have it.

Getting a cleaner in is a great idea. I bet if you worked out what you'll save by this time next month not smoking you will have "saved" the cost of a few hours of Mrs Mop's time :D

Wrestled over posting this.... Went to a big 'Do' on Friday.... Sang live to an audience (first time in my life...) and had a few puffs off a friend's cig afterwards....

    Oh, Poo....Starting all over again...

Mjay it was only a few a puffs, and you are picking yourself up and keeping going thats the main thing!!

Im now at my 2 day 14 hour mark!! A this morning i feel the best i have since quitting on Thursday, i find having a pack of mints on bedside table and popping one in before i come downstairs really helps.
I got lots of jobs done around the house to keep myself busy (as i must have the cleaning gene, as i am a bit of a clean freak!!) Got lots planned today to keep me busy including lots of board games with the kids, which will be great as i used to make the stop half way through so i could nip out for a fag..not from now on!!

I am getting very breathless since yesterday and weezing again, is this the bad stuff making its way out??? Im not as bad this morning but have started coughing more too.
    Catch up with everyone later
