My work too has gone crazy- maybe it's because I did nothing last week as I was on here all the time !!

Hello there all you miserable ex smokers. Just popped in to say knickers to quitting.

I'm 86 been smoking 30 a day since i was 12 and it's never bothered me unlike my dad who smokes far more it's taking it's toll now. He reckons he wont do no more than 6 marathons this year. ;)

Nothing miserable about being an ex-smoker!!

That's great dlb you're doing really well. I haven't got a quit meter so I don't know much about them. I just know I feel healtheir in general (apart from right now coz I've not been well the past couple of days). I went back to bed this am and dreamed I'd started smoking again-that's a horrible dream, especially when it's so vivid and you wake up and think you really have. It's a great relief when you realise that for all it's vividness, it's only a dream.

How spooky Cath, I had a smoking dream last night.
I was tidying out a cupboard and found loads of packs of cigarettes (packs of 8 for some strange reason!) and I was trying to throw them out but I couldn't help opening one and lighting up.
What a relief to wake up (in a cold sweat) and realise that it was only a dream!

skintnow- well done thats great- persistence does pay off- literally ! :D

Day 18 and I'm not as 'obsessed' about it as I was before- such as:
I can leave this thread alone for more than an hour ;)
I can go through a single day without telling anyone I've given up smoking,
I can get through a night with booze without a single craving.
I can forget everything to do with smoking.

In fact things seem to be shifting away from all of it- it's fantastic. Now I know I CAN do it it's not so much of an issue !

And regarding Oddiz saying hello you miserable ex smokers- I'd say most of the time we aren't miserable but so damn happy that we aren't tied to the dreaded weed anymore !! Sometimes I'm so happy and overexited about it all I get told to calm down by my OH !!:T :T :T
