Hi mumzyof2 so sorry to hear your news. Same thing happened to me 3 weeks ago although the hospital gave me a D&C once we knew the sac was empty - I had no bleeding at all prior to the op! In the past I've had 3 miscarriages and I also have 4 children. Just take time to adjust and allow yourself to grieve - this was still your "baby" even if only briefly. Take care.
love and hugs to you all

mumzy, how are you doing chick? Hope you're alright...
tattycath - how is the mood today?! Better I hope!
hayley - how are you feeling today? Did you get a chance to read any of the stuff I suggested on the first 72 hours? I'm hoping that you felt a lot calmer today as the nicotine should now be completely out of your system. If you still feel jittery for the next few days I thoroughly recommend fruit juice - especially cranberry - as it helps speed any remaining nicotine out of your blood PLUS regulates your blood sugar levels (which is the main reason for still feeling jittery after 3 days - nothing to do with nicotine at all!)
TNG -good to be back thanks mate. All sorted for Christmas?!
jo1972 - all that dancing will be FANTASTIC for the legs mate! Lot more fun than the gym too... heh heh
yellowmoney and mumofthreemonkies - you are doing BRILLIANTLY. Hope you're both feeling okay and still proud of yourselves for what you are doing. I still can't believe I'm finding it so easy but long may it carry on!!QUIT SMOKING 4/11/07 :j0 -
Hi everyone. I'm not too bad today thanks. We had visitors today and OH offered me a cig and said he had forgotten I'd stopped-even though today is my 15th day of not smoking!!! Mood not bad either thanks. I jhave even finally managed to make my christmas cake-yes I know I should have made it ages ago!. But one year I remember not making it until the 23rd december putting marzipan on it on 24th and icing it on christmas day!!! Now that was very late!!! So compared to that I am really organised! lol:rotfl:
Hope everyone is well and coping with life's trials and tribulations. OH & kids are busy making papier mache animal money boxes!!! more mess-but I'm quite chilled:cool:GE 36 *MFD may 2043

That's great. It took my OH a few weeks to remember about me quitting, but luckily he smokes roll ups so he wasn't used to offering me one anyway! :rotfl:
I don't even bother making a christmas cake at all because OH and his son hate marzipan and icing, so I just buy some ready-made slices for me (I lurve marzipan and icing!) and I buy a Hunters Cake (posh fruit cake) for all of us instead. Cheating, I know!!!
Oh I am sooo jealous, I used to LOVE doing papier mache!!! I know it's messy, but it's cheap and fun and the kids will have a great time. Best news of all though is that you're feeling chilled. :j I suppose the way to think of ANY bad mood or negative feeling is that it won't last forever so if you keep yourself busy it'll be gone before you know itQUIT SMOKING 4/11/07 :j0 -
Hi
Day 18 and all going well. Very little cravings but have a mouthfull of ulcers so mouth sore at the moment. At work and really knackered for some reason. Finish soon and then off to try to find some petrol as everyone panicked yesterday and the garages are dry at the moment.
It has been surprisingly easy this time and i just think i was in the right mind set to start with.Certainly helps.
Take care and speak soon. If anyone is lurking out there wondering if they should give up. DO IT!!! It is the best thing you can do and with the support on here ,dare I say, enjoyable.

Thank God for laminate flooring!!! We went out to eat earlier tonight and took DDs-it was a buffet style , all you can eat for a set price, and I even managed to not pig out-as last time I stopped smoking I put on 2 stone in weight:eek: So I'm determined not to put much extra weight on this time!!! with doing the grocery challenge and trying not to waste so much money, I'm also cutting portion sizes as we all eat far too much in our house!!! And before I set myself the grocery challenge we wasted a fortune in food we bought on a whim and didn't eat. I think I must have cut back our grocery spends by over £100 per month and I only started at beginning of November!!! So I'm really pleased with myself. My OH and DDs like christmas cake so I made one and when it's finished I will take half to my mother as she likes it and dad doesn't!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Hi Joe
Got through today amazingly well thanks. Kept myself busy but made sure I took time to relax and chill with my girls as well. I am a very energetic bunny but seemed even more full of beans today. Worked until 10pm, whereas I usually crash on the sofa at around 9, so an extra hour of activity on top of a busy day is almost unheard of.
I read some stuff on the website, but to be honest, reading about smoking makes me think about it, so need to be careful to read for advice and not reminding!
The thing that stuck a chord with me most, was the statement about 'For smokers, a cigarette signifies the end of a meal - find something else to finish a meal and you won't miss the smoke'. At lunch time I had a chocolate drink, but that didn;t seem right. So this evening I had an orange when I finished my dinner, and that seemed to draw a line under the eating thing without me wanting a smoke. Has this struck a chord with anyone else? If so, how do you finish a meal now that you don't smoke?

Hi all. Re finishin a meal with a smoke, that was something I never wanted to do when I smoked but I had to start the day with one to the extent that I have stood outside 5am on a freezing winter morning to indulge. I must have been off my trolley!! Still have the occasional urge to smoke (usually lasts only a second though) but most of the time now I cant stand the smell!! Wierd or what?Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0
