Your are probably correct that wearing a seat belt will not be relevant BUT I think you are mistaken about being allowed to reverse without wearing one.

You can think they are mistaken, however I know you are.

You need to inform your insurance company; if she has claimed for whiplash before, she will do it again.

I waste erasing into a parking space once, checked mirrors etc and proceeded to look over my shoulder whilst reversing into the space. At same time a woman pulled out of her space, directly Accross from the space I was going into and my rear hit her front passenger wing. The insurance found in her favour. According to the insurance as I was reversing it was my fault, even tho she pulled out without looking.

As a side-on impact, it may be that if an engineer examines both vehicles, he will be able to work out exactly how the collision occurred and which vehicles were moving and in which direction.

She and her boyfriend have admitted liability by offering to swap wings, they wouldn't do that if they thought your boyfriend was to blame.
Also they are clearly not wanting to go thru the insurance because of their £700 excess so I don't see a whiplash claim materialising.

If it were me I'd be inclined to take the offer of a wing swap and forget about it.

Thanks for the input guys, have declined the offer of the wing, but was really lucky and got one out of a local scrap yard that advertises on ebay ( I didn't know they were there) for £20 same colour too, gotta love having a common corsa lol the scrap yard owner man fitted it as well.

She's still a cow tho, her bumper must of just clicked back on because I looked at her car and it looks likes its all in one piece now, all the drama over nothing much, she gives me a headache that woman.

It could of been a kid tho that's what annoys me as its half term for all the non faith schools and pools of children can and do appear from nowhere.

I really do appricate the advice and to be quite honest I never knew what the horn was there for, I just thought it was for taxi drivers to wake you up in the middle of the night.
