Did the last shop of the month for me this morning and spent £17 in Aldi and £18 in B&M (including some Easter treats for family and bits and pieces for the mid week overnight guests). I don't need anything else at all until next weekend now though when the new budget starts.
I've managed to spend £134 altogether leaving me £6 under budget.:j I can't think of a single thing I need until the next big shop from April's budget so hopefully that is that!

Really bad snow here in the Midlands but had to go out as mum hasn't been well so nipped to see how she was and take her a few things.
While we were out nipped into Morri$ons and got one or two items. Brought a joint of beef for £7.87 which was half price, will cut this into two and use one as a roasting joint and the other will be cut up and used in a casserole later on. Also brought some bread, veg and a few other things. Spends now at £131.95
Hope that everyone is keeping warm and safe in this weather and that the power cuts aren't affecting any of you.
NSD tomorrow and with a bit of luck Monday as well.
Plan to attempt to reduce April budget but need to think how much by.
    Stay safe everyone. :snow_laug

Fought my way through slush in Mr T's car park (which was chaos as no-one could see where the parking spaces were marked) and did my final shop as I had intended (even though I did my list and then left it at home anyway :rotfl:).

Spent £40.98 but with £5 off voucher spent £35.98, makes my final total £299.77/£300 for March. 23p under budget, hurray!

I so pleased with that, thanks to everyone who takes part in this challenge, it really keeps you so focused doing it. And I'm pleased that I'm finishing the month with similar stock levels to when I started it, so I think £300 is about right for me.

Did shop and scan for first time, brilliant for keeping an eye on what you are spending and DD thought it was great fun. Will use again next week as Mr T has given me another £5 off £40 voucher. Makes up for me missing the Ald* one.

Just a few more minutes on my lap top and then I am going to do my ironing pile .

    Keep warm x

    Keep Smiling :)

Headed out for sm yesterday for a few bits and went to Co-op as it's nearest and snow was shocking.Spent £13 too easily, I'm going to be as tight as anything this week to come in as near to £150 as I can. Supposed to be heading for weekend away next week, we'll see!

NSD today, hoping for same tomorrow and at least a couple this week.

Posh sausages from the freezer, hm wedges/salad/half price Co-op cheesecake for tea. Chicken chasseur tomorrow made with 2 drumsticks each and YS sauce!

    Hope everyone is warm xx
  • Have not reported for a few days, but had another 2 NSD since last post.

Went to farmshop today for most of my weekend shopping + quick pop into sm for some small bits and pieces. Together £33.57, so it looks I will be on track for this month and able to reduce budget next month.

Gammon steak for dinner, tomorrow roast chicken.

Feel sorry for everyone affected by this awful weather, here in London it's not too bad, well, it's cold, wind and snowing, but at least the snow is melting and not staying. Am not planning to go anywhere anymore this weekend, just snuggle up on sofa with a book and a cuppa:D

Hope you all are able to do the same!

Spent €43 at the co-operative market this morning. Two grocery bags of veg, toothpaste, soymilk, peanut butter, cereal, cocoa powder, coffee and a few other little bits and pieces. Am just over budget now, which am actually not too disappointed in as it's a lot better than last month! Presses are bursting as well, so shouldn't need much of anything for the next week. Am on break for Easter from Uni as well, so can do plenty of cheap meals that take a bit of planning and time, which doesn't always work on schoolnights.

Tonight is leftover stew for himself and something else that needs eating for me.
    Sunday: portabello "burgers" with veg.
    Monday: veggie bolognaise and salad
Will plan for the rest of the week then as will have had a good sort through what needs eating :)
Attempting to stay on track in the Grocery Challenge!
