Thanks Tess, I can get the CH fixed tommorow, I do have an emergency number and I suppose if they can get down the road to me they would do it today, but really with the fire and the oven on its quite cosy so I thought I would leave the emergency service for people who may really need it.

I live in an old folks bungalow, in a cul-de-sac at the end of a very long narrow road, acess is not good at the best of times but with the snow its virtually impossible.

Am hoping milkman will be able to deliver tommorow as it seems my GS is going to be staying a few days and he does love his bacon, used the last of mine this morning. Still if not he wont starve.

9.71 today in ald* -popped in for super six and bits for packed lunches -ended up buying two lovely bunches of tulips for SIL as she's treating us to dinner tonight (must amend meal plan)
3.50 in icel*and and 4.20 in asd* on bits and pieces -all small shops but soon adds up - Sigy updated -I am on target for this month if I can keep away from shops until Thursday ! Should be doable as meal plan done, everything in -may need to top up bread/milk.

Hope everyone is nice and warm and cosy on this awfully cold weekend. I havnt been shopping for two days and as a result fridge is quite bare, I have lots of stuff in the freezers though so we will eat from them for a few days. I have about £22 left to spend this month in my budget and trying to work out how I can spend £40 at tescos, use a £5Moc a £5 PP and a few other coupons and still only spend £22, Im sure its doable I just need to plan my shop carefully!!

NSD here and my April GC starts tomorrow.
For dinner we had HM wedges with HM quiche and HM coleslaw.
While I was cooking dinner - I made some cakes for Cafe Church this evening. Almond cakes and a coconut/orange cake.

Spent £87.17 at Mr T,forgot to get pastry for tomorrow's chicken pie so will get this tomorrow and hopefully only need bread and milk top up through week so should come under budget by a little again this month.

I'm in the same boat, but already over budget and have a £5 off voucher to use with no delivery cost. I wasn't planning on doing another shop til the 1st, so it has slightly messed my :money: plans up !

Well I've been a bit disorganised and lost 2 receipts this weekend :mad:

OH spent around £3.45 in Mr T on Friday on some coffee, garlic bread and cling film - he meant to get tin foil :rotfl:

I went to Mr M and got a bigger shop yesterday, but can't remember exactly how much it came to - roughly £25. Got 800g mince, some veg, ham, chopped tomatoes, lasagne sheets and toiletries, amongst other things.

Made halloumi kebabs with rice salad and grilled veg on Saturday night:



Had to go to the shop again today, as I invited my parents over for Sunday lunch on the spur of the moment. There were no free range chickens in Mr M so a quick change of plan later I made roast beef. Spent £19.12 on a kilo of beef, ingredients for a lime cheesecake, eggs and green beans.





Have made the decision to start doing my grocery challenge from payday to payday, rather in calender months, meaning I will declare tonight and move on to April's thread. But will obviously keep checking this thread to keep an eye out for any posted recipes!

We've been hit with the dreaded sickness bug in this house so no spending & nothing really eaten either.

Not feeling great, catch up maybe tomorrow.
