Popping in to quickly update my spending. Have been trawling here for veggie recipes. I haven't eaten chicken or turkey for years, and now I've gone off all meat. Not that it'll make a huge difference as I rarely ate meat anyway, but it's been interesting looking at all the recipes. Writing my 'big shop' list just now for pay day on Wednesday. Must be stricter at counting all the top up shops I've done though. On holiday from work for a week, so doing a spring clean (although someone needs to tell the weather it's spring!) Will find a tub or jar of some kind to pop the recipts in to add in here later.
(suspect I may have gone over budget, but not by much. Those pesky little receipts!!)My name is CherryPie and I'm addicted to grocery shopping!!

Hi everyone,
NSD on groceries here although I did have to pop out for a couple of birthday cards for DH. Dinner tonight is filled tortelloni pasta from A!di (ambient) with hm tomato sauce. Will serve with brocolli and spinach. DS2 is off to McD's with Cubs so two packs of the pasta will easily serve us remaining 4. It's very tasty and at only 69p/pack a cheap and easy meal
SpendingSensible - I am loving the sound of a chocolate festival. Where was it and is it still on???
I too am getting the urge to bake thanks to Flo's piccies. Not sure my waistline will thank me for it, but when the weather is so cold it is very rewarding.
Managed to cook roast leg of lamb and all the trimmings yesterday, despite having to shift the last 2 tonnes of stone chippings. Must go and freeze the leftover meat as otherwise DH will no doubt scoff it tonight in front of the tv!

Afternoon! Popping on to report another spend of £28.17 today in Mr M. I think that's all we'll need for the week though you never know! Off to ponder what I fancy from the mealplan tonight. There's a few possibilities and Monday is a flexible night as I haven't split the packets of meat up yet. Will give Mr KB a choice too.
Off to update sig now. Have a lovely evening everyone.

Was due to do a small grocery shop today, with the intention of doing it at a large Mr T when I went to the gym as they're on the same complex.
Got up this morning and couldn't get motivated to go to the gym, and I couldn't justify taking the car out for the few bits I wanted.
So I put on my big rucksack and walked up to the next town, which has a smaller Mr T, then called into Lid1 and A1di as I was almost home for a few bits I knew would be cheaper there.... a mere 3.29 mile round trip, so I guess I got my exercise anyway
Just added todays spends to my spreadsheet - having had to add my grocery shop from last Tuesday first! - and now stand at a spend of £134.61 from a budget of £211.50
I might want/need a few vegetable type bits for the weekend (depending on what I decide to make for OH and myself on Saturday), but I'm looking at having very healthy underspend this morning - and that's despite having been to Costc0 and stocked up on mince :TCheryl0 -
Been missing for a little while as internet not working but now its better again.
Totalled up all spends since last update - over budget with a total of £258.04 but not too bad as this is my first grocery challenge and also pleased as February spend was over £500:eek:
Only two more days until payday and I refuse to buy anything else so living out of store cupboard so now on to April challenge to start afresh.

Sooo, I did a bit of unexpected grocery shopping yesterday; complete lack of forward planning:-
£7.81 was spent in Tesco.
I still need to purchase my rabbits vegetables, so I shall be going to ASDA after 22:00pm tonight for a spot of bargain hunting with the remaining £2.19.
Oh no, actually my remaining amount is £1.06 as I've also joined the Weekly Spend challenge and gave myself £30.00 (£7.81 Tesco (groceries), £6.13 B&M (toiletries), £5.00 Morrisons (underwear) and £10.00 petrol)
£7.81 / £10.00
So, in essence, I have spent £8.94 / £10.00
Wish me luck with the veggies, lol
