spends today £7.13 - except some bananas it was all not needed so not happy, must do better. Why grab a sandwich when you are only 15 mins maximum from home?
Did get 6 finger rolls for nothing though today saving 70p so not all bad.
Looks like a number of people have come under budget this month so well done. :TMARCH £62.38/2500 -
and in return, I'll butt in
In the years I've been here, I've come to the conclusion that every time you change colour, font style or size (or centralise your text), the commands for that count towards your character count.
Taking a quick peek at the source for your signature (via a tool on my browser, not by hacking into your account) it appears you have a lot of colour changes that aren't used!
eg. before your very first '£' you turn on DarkOrchid, then immediately turn on Red, then back to DarkOrchid, then back to red. This uses up 83 characters rather than the 18 needed to get from Black to Red. After the '£' it then turns red off and on again before the numberical value. You switch to DarkOrchid and back to Red without any text between them a number of times throughout your signature, so that really won't be helping any
And if the code required to insert smilies also counts, then putting in the  uses over 100 characters.
I actually had no idea so thanks for answering the question!
I do sometimes have to keep reducing things to keep the totals up to date if it goes over the word count!Grocery Challenge 2019 YTD-£820.46/£7200(11%)

And another NSD! Will hopefully have a few more before my GC ends. And am pleasantly suprised as it looks like I will be well below my budget this month. Shall tot it all up on Sunday.
Just reading the other posts is very inspiring and helpful, thanks everybody!0 -
NSD for me today, and hopefully tomorrow too. Getting better at this now. Only a few more days until the end of the month.
We ended up having enchiladas last night, so tonight we'll be having a steak sandwich with fajita seasoned mushrooms. Hope everyone has a nice evening.

Evening all,
Well the sickness bug has finally gone from the house (evil bug).
The last few days have been horrendous but all nsd's :rotfl:
So still on track for the end of the month, can't believe it's nearly April already
Dinner tonight was tuna, pasta, sweetcorn & garlic bread. Was yummy & a small portion left for my lunch tomorrow.
Should make it under budget (just) as cant see anything that's needed.
Hope everyone is ok & a big thanks to everyone who posts on here. It's really helped me to stay focused.

I've managed a couple of NSDs in a row and hope for another tomorrow. I plan to get some fruit and veg, (list adapted to fit in 3 of Super Six -- 1kg of onions, new potatoes -- maybe 650g sorry can't remember quantity and 1kg carrots) on Thursday plus another couple of bits to get me to 31st on or under budget, with £6 left, I've been online to check price of all things I'm planning to buy so I can resolve to get the cheapest.
Have roughly meal planned until last week of April, largely out of freezer, so hope I'm not tempting fate by saying I hope it should be ok to set £200 as my target again and tempted to push for £180. I've been through my cupboards and crossed off olive oil, black pepper and parsley sauce from my shopping list as I've found some. The pepper was bought on holiday in France three or four years ago but is well in date!
I'm planning the biggest shop I've done in a while for around start of April and am doing best to accurately predict the price and checking whether Aldi or Sbury Basics range is cheaper, perhaps I should give Asda more of a go, but it's so much further to travel and Tesco is far too far away. I'd like to shop at my a local green grocer more, that's going to be a goal for April.0
