Well, last month started well, then fell through in the latter half. I got a nasty bug around the 18th which has lingered and lingered, and which I'm still feeling now. As a result, I kinda ate to whatever I fancied, as I get really fussy when I'm ill. That's resulted in a lot of fancy fruit juices and posh ready-meals. That being said, I don't think I've gone hugely over. Perhaps £15 for so.
I am raising my budget to £65 this month, as my circumstances are changing starting Monday and I have to pay for 8 extra meals a week.
Spent £9.59 in Tescos yesterday, mostly on lunchbox stuff.Because it's fun to have money!

Really hope to get back on track for March!
Went to Ald! Mr T and Mrs A and have spent £56-26
Mainly in Ald! , but am well stocked up with basics such as pasta, tin toms and other basics.
Didn't get any YS items:( but a few value bits I like
So that should be the biggest shop of the month, I have meal planned for 12 days - so really should only need milk and fresh bits for the next 2 weeks
I may visit Home Bargains next week for a toiletries and cleaning bits shop :rotfl:
Good luck all!:money: I will never be rich but I'm happy :rotfl:0 -
Congratulations Suzexxx!
More spends to report here - £6.10 in Mr A - pepperoni for a youth group I run (my small gift to them!), sugar, cheese, crisps for OH (he's a snacker - need better options, but what?!) and a couple of other bits I forget! £8.20 in the butchers - one chicken, but much heavier than supermarket equivalent, cheaper per kg, so worth it I hope! Also £3.36 at the greengrocers, loads for that - potatoes, grapes, lettuce, carrots, and onions
Apologies for the list, trying to keep a closer eye on what we actually spend - getting prepared for a proper budget in the new financial year!0 -
Suze - congratulations and hope everything went well.
£7.10 spent this morning but £4.10 of this was on treats for grand children.
Took a joint of pork out of the freezer for tomorrow, this will go in the slow cooker tonight. Whilst we were 'freezer diving' even DH said we have a ton of stuff in here that needs using. So that is the plan (again
) and have just altered the meal plan to accomodate. So now we are having - (BLUE = FROM FREEZER)
Pork, veg, potatoes,
Sausage, mushrooms & pasta sauce
Prawn curry
Sardines on toast & soup
Chicken with mushroom and white wine sauce, veg
HM Meat & potato pieMARCH £62.38/2500 -
Congratulations Suze

Phew, today is an NSD, thankfully. The pie filling has already cooked in the slow cooker this morning and all I have to do is make the pastry a bit later. I'll do some chips later and all will be lovely.
Shopping list is done but the shopping will have to be done in a few trips this week as I won't have the car for the 1st part of the week. At least I'll get some exercise walking to the supermarket at lunch time. Roll on when I get it back (probably not until the end of the week - sigh).
Hope everyone is having a good Saturday so far. Take care all.
