Congrats suzexxx!!
Another £12 today so that's me at £22 so far this month. Bought one of the turkey legs at M0rrisons for £3. Going to braise it tomorrow and have with new potatoes, Yorkshires (yes, they DO go with everything), carrots and braised red cabbage from freezer (made at Christmas). Will stretch it to left overs and then soup.
I've been eating mostly veggie meals and I've really enjoyed it. DH has had left over meaty meals from freezer because mine have been couscous based this week and he is not a fan. However, I'm looking forward to this turkey as we had beef at Christmas.
Good luck this month everyone

Mr. T today for wraps x 2, golden syrup, and Philly ( half price) €4.16, also got hand soap in the €shop for 1.25 for massive bottle.
Made bread and breakfast muffins for during week. I saved loads past few weeks by baking the nursery snack time treats instead of buying cheese strings etc.
Banana and oatmeal muffins are going down a bomb.
Plus I feel I'm spending nice time with my girl when we bake together.

Good evening, just thought I would drop in to post my budget for the month of March please to be £180. My budget all last year was 200 per month and last month I dropped it down to 150 as we were on holiday for a week, soo Im dropping it by £20 this month to see how I get on. Iv still got quite a freezer full of odds and ends I can dip into so am hoping Im going to be able to stick to £180. No spends up to now so 2NSDs already for March.SPC No. 295 - SPC No10 target £350

Started this month with a NSD, but had my weekend shop today so £46.71.
We usually have 1 bigger shop just before or in the weekend, and several smaller shops during the week. Unfortunately OH's schedule is bit unpredictable at times due to projects at work so it's difficult to plan meals for more than 2 days in advance.
When possible, I'll freeze leftovers or cook batches and freeze, but I always try to make 'something special' in the weekend. Tonight we will be having some monkfish, and tomorrow roast chicken. Will have leftovers from chicken to use up during the week
Oh, the weekend shop did include cereals and big bag of loo paper, both should last us several weeks. And I got 5 avocado's for £1 at the market! They still need some ripening, but in worst case I will just mash them all up in my blender and make a nice dip0 -

Morning all
Update on the spends -
Have now done the calculations from my shopping yesterday - it's rather scary - but trying to remind myself that I've bought lots of offers, I bought 3 boxes of washing powder as it was boxes of 25 wash powders - if you bought 3 you got all 3 for £10 - so effectively 75 washes for £10 - I never use the full amount of powder either - as mix expensive washing powder with cheaper to make it go further. Spent £149.01/£400 budget - so spent more than I wanted but have very good stocks of non-perishables and realistically should have a much cheaper shop over the next couple of weeks - we'll see!
Have a great day and enjoyable weekend, keep safe and well x

Where was your powder offer on please? I am about to run out, though might be doing a small order from cloud 9 bargains.
Technically a NSD today, although i did purchase a present and a few sundries from charity shop which left me with 50p from a tenner. This purchased a photo frame, two silicone cake tins, a Meerkat cup for DD, and a present for my Nan.
No groceries/toiletries/cleaning products .... however Dad is possibly at Al*is tomorrow, so probably by then will be a different story.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July ££110.46/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. First spends of the month. Bath foam, tofu, ritz crackers, ketchup, soya milk, 2 bars of chocolate and a lot of fruit and veg. Just under the €30 mark. Pantry looking a lot healthier after last months overspend. We're moving to a mostly vegan diet so quite a few staples were changed about.
Getting ready to make katsu curry for dinner. Am starving!0 -

Well done Suze!
:j
Despite coming under budget the last 2 months, I'm going to aim for £130 again this month. That's what I'm happy to spend on a monthly basis so see no reason to change.
This month might be tougher though because I've ran out of all meat (bar a pack of prawns and bacon which are for once a week 'treat' meals), and needed to get things like toilet roll etc.
On that note I spent £31.18 in Mr S today, so not a particularly great start, but did get 3 for £10 meat, toilet roll, deodorant, shower gel, tinned salmon (for fishcakes), bread, wraps, salad items and fruit.
Used a 400 points (£2) off £20 spend, plus got double points in Mr S today, which will be useful for a future spend there.
Having Za'atar chicken with salad, hummus and wraps tonight.
Hope everyone is well.Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300
