Read the terms and conditions of the offer ... and follow them

e.g have you even submitted a claim yet?0 -

That's all very well but if you have received an email from SimplySwitch as I have that states:ApplicationWhy do you have to submit a claim? The statement "will be paid into your bank account" seems to suggest that the payment will be automatic.
Complete
Thank you for choosing Simply Switch to find your new energy supplier. We are pleased to inform you that your application has been successfully completed.
We can also confirm that you do qualify for the cash back offer. (£40 for Dual Fuel or £20 for a single Fuel Switch).
Cashback: Your cashback will be paid directly into your bank account in approximately 90 days from the date of your application.

This thread is almost 5 months old, and the post you quote almost 2 months old!
Have you received your cashback? Presumably not. If I am correct, I suggest you read the terms and conditions again0 -
I switched in Jan, still waiting for cashback after numerous calls to their office..

Just found this thread as was about to start a new one.
Switched in March using Simply Switch. Since then...
Claim form filled.
2 e-mails sent and no reply received.
Called last week at 16:45 and told that everyone has gone for the day. Told that they are only open 9:00 to 17:00. When I pointed out that it was not 17:00 I just received an "Oh, well can you try another day".
Just called again, and no-one can help so waiting for a phone call back. As its 16:59 I presume I wont be getting a call today.

Bought car isurance via simply switch in June. Followed all the instructions to make claim and rang yesterday when no cashback was forthcoming. She said the computers were down and took my name and e-mail with a promise to contact me later that day - needless to say noi contact was made. It appears these people are dishonest and unfit to be players in the cashback incentive market! They should be avoided.0

After contacting them TWICE more and informing them that I would report them to Watchdog, MSE, Ofgem etc I received an email.
Clearly another delaying tactic as the email asked for information that I had included on all previous correspondence eg dates of switch, companies involved, etc.
Eventually, after pointing out that they already had this info multiple times (including the email that they had replied to!) the money was paid.
Lesson learned. Don't use them again. And warning to others to avoid them too.
Perhaps the moderators of this forum can inform Martin so he can strike them off the comparison information.0 -
Guess I'd better start the same process. A bit of advice please - is it more effective by phone or e-mail or both and do you have their number?0

Thizzby - I eventually got a response via email using this address customerservice@simplyswitch.com.
However, the person who responded used their own address.
I will PM you his details.0 -
I switched my energy supplier (dual fuel) through simplyswitch.com in late April. There was no sign of the £40 after about 90 days so I sent them an email. After a further delay and a couple of additional reminders I see my bank account has just been credited. I think they just deliberately delay matters in the hope that people forget and/or don't keep appropriate records.
Anyway, being honest, I shouldn't complain. My new tariff seems pretty good to me, and guess what . . . my previous supplier was NPower and my new supplier is . . . NPOWER :j0
