Simply Switch not paying cashback

No such luck here, cashback not appeared, no response to any of the emails I've sent over the last few weeks and their voice mail just constantly rings out now.. All looking very sinister indeed!
I've reported them to MSE using their furtherhelp@ email address, hopefully get them removed as affiliates of the site. Also going to report them to the Office of Fair Trading. I've kept a log of all the important dates and contacts attempted/responses received over the last few months, so will see what happens.
I know it's 'only' £40 but it's a matter of principle, if everyone wrote it off (which I suspect a lot do, or just forget..) they'd make loads of extra money (which I suspect they do..) at ordinary people's expense.0 -
My 90 days wait time is up and I emailed Simply Switch with this address
cashback@simplyswitch.com. Waited the 48 hrs for a reply and am still waiting. So I emailed them again at customerservice@simplyswitch.com.
I don't count on them replying but my evidence is growing against this company who are not keeping their promise of payment. Maybe threats of OFT involvement will be enough to get them moving?0 -

Maybe if you were to call them? ... :cool:0 -
OK Well tried phoning their "Customer Services" number, not expecting much, and was right not to.. First couple of times it just rang out, when it eventually did answer it was just a standard "We're unable to answer your call at the moment" (Probably too busy responding to customer complaints by email!) "But your call is important to us so please leave a message after the tone.." Which I did but I'm not hopeful of them getting back to me.
Well I was going to give them a call but read the above post and thought better of it0 -
Just to let people know it pays to be firm with SS
After another stronger email threatening them with Trading Standards and the OFT I received a prompt reply assuring me that £40 would be deposited in my bank account next MondayHere's hoping!
Hope this helps some people who are suffering from non payment.0 -
Just an update. Checked my bank balance this morning and SS have deposited the £40 they said they would. So I'm happy. :beer:0

Point is though 'they're trying it on', blatantly not answering their "Customer Service Helpline", never intending to pay the cashback until they're threatened with being reported to the OFT etc.
Check out some of these unfortunates who've suffered similar non-payment at the hands of Simply Switch:

More people need to report these cowboys rather than just settle for getting the £40, the more that do, the more likely they are to be booted off MSE etc. as an affiliate, thus severely denting their income and keeping their director(s) out of posh cars and houses (at least for a while!)0 -
Don't know if you're aware rl4engm
