mmm, direct action worked with the Poll Tax, but then all were affected, this is happening by degrees and is harder to get people into action when they aren't affected, yet.
Love many, trust few, learn to paddle your own canoe.

“Don’t have children if you can’t afford them” is the “Let them eat cake” of the 21st century. It doesn’t matter how children got here, they need and deserve to be fed.

    Asbolutely!

And SH tenants are still not campaigning for what is fair - which is disability given a priority in both sectors, secure tenancies and help with rents in PR.

It was well and truly divided and to change this now for SH will create uproar unless they change PR too.

That still wouldn't be 20% of someone's income - think about it logically.

I cannot believe that people are arguing with a blind person over the benefits she gets, I feel this country has lost it's heart and soul, it seems to be devoid of compassion, step back and think about it for a minute, arguing with a blind person over the support we give them, shameful

But people who aren't partially sighted have to use their ESA/DLA to pay bus fares and you get that as well.

So, what do you suggest - treat people with disabilities as if they're subhuman or children like we used to?

Perhaps we should ask care workers whether their "charges" take sugar as well?

No treat them with respect and Compassion!

Nanny and I don't always see eye to eye but I treat her as the equal she is, as another intelligent adult who's perfectly able to argue her points.

If I were her, I'd tell you where to stick your compassion!
