    Hi all

Had a quick skim, posting from paid stuff as per, Dusty, that’s wonderful news re Ed, his family must be over the moon. Scored off whats been done/not needing done, another hours ironing last night, felt I was making progess, then I folded all the washing that was lying about…..basket back up again!!! Not as high as DH’s mind you, he counted 50….yes 50 tee shirts in his pile last week (I do mine, DD’s, DS’s & all bedding) he does his own.

Its not really worth me dusting floors etc in LR as painter is coming Friday night to do masking & put dust sheets out, so just a quick tidy up, will however spend some time in DS’s room, starting to get really untidy!

Marvellous Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room

Twinkling Tuesday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs

Wipe skirtings, doorframes and other paintwork
    Extra Mission:

Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Change any dead lightbulbs in the house!
    • Clean a radiator or two.

Three bedrooms, bathroom and en-suite are all sparkling (including mirrors, windows and floors) and well aired.
Stuff not sold on eB@y has disappeared into suitcases in a cupboard.
DGS's fingermarks have gone from the guest room window.
DH's computer desk is tidy, and I've hardly thrown anything away!
Extra bed has been set up in the DGC's room (to prove that it is a double!) with one teddy on each bed.
The landing is tiny so never gets cluttered.
I'm just going to vac the top half of the stairs and landing before I bring the Dys0n downstairs for tomorrow's onslaught.

Then I'm going to the tip and on to the garden centre to meet my friend for a well-earned :coffee:

Our bedroom curtains will be hung before bedtime, I promise :)

Hi all, quick catch up with Fred while Mary's sleeping off her lunch (she's a “three square meals a day” dog).;)

Managed to make lasagne (plus enough for today, as Mr LW will be late home), apple crumble, and sultana & spice buns yesterday; looks like we're running a tad low on HM bread – I hope there's enough for tomorrow, as Mr LW is supposed to get the BM down (it lives on top of the fridge-freezer) when a new loaf is needed, and he hasn't today.

Interesting to see the “putting the house to bed” posts:o – we tend to do this; make sure everything is ready to just grab & go in the mornings, set out all the next days' medication; and while Mary's here, put the next days' meals (they're in little pouches) ready on the work top. Oh, and if a hot milky drink makes us old fogeys, then can we please officially apply to join the Fogey Club?:rotfl:

Alchemilla did you manage to retrieve your bacoglide? (what is one of those, btw?) Sounds like you could do with the reach-and-grab tool that I use when I drop things on the floor, to save me bending.:o

Healing vibes to Miss Moo; she has my sympathy, having had some nasty ear infections in my time. Poor little lass.

Dusty I've just read that Ed walked out of the hossy, and I'm sat here with a big grin on my face – that has absolutely made my day!:T:T:T

Not very happy with GP surgery; I emailed a repeat prescription request a week ago, told them when I'd be in to collect it (yesterday afternoon) and alerted them to which of the 2 forms of morphine I have was required, along with four other items. When I got there, the morphine script was done, but not the rest. “Oh, it'll be ready after 5pm Wednesday” says they. Cue minor tantrum - “I can only get here when Mr LW is available to bring me; he's next on an early shift on 26th, and I have a hospital appointment that day – I sent this request a week ago, I NEED it now”. So they faff around to do it, I wait an age for them to get the duty Dr to sign – and when I look, they've omitted one of the items, and prescribed something I didn't ask for!! :eek:Back they go to duty Dr, to get another script – I was in there best part of an hour, for what should have been: go in, collects scripts, sign for the controlled drug script, and get out – five minutes flat.

Oh, and my phone's given up the ghost.:( It's about 5 years old, and has been dodgy for a while; so I've just spent a large portion of the morning transferring everything to one of our spares (an even older one that Mr LW used to use) – took me a good half hour to get the back off to insert my SIM card, setting up my “groups” - one group for Mr LW, whether he calls from his mobile, work mobile, work landline, or calls me when I'm dogwalking from the home landline, another group for the landline and mobile for the dog-sitting service – each group gets their own ringtone – and a third distinctive ringtone for “all others” which will, on 99.99% of occasions, get red-buttoned.;) Then checked that all info was deleted from the dying phone.

It seems like I've done very little, but I'm exhausted!

'Nuvver coffee, then I expect Mary will be awake and needing to be lifted outside for a pee..... No rest for the wicked.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • sounds like a few healing, things going better, and positive vibes are needed for a few fly ladies so help yourselves to those and coffee.

    been work
    fed DH and me
got a lift into town with him on his way back to work
recycled a load of cans at Ts for points
dropped off 8 books on drs waiting room shelf
    dropped off mils prescription
    went into building society
went into school to do an errand there

while there found out school are happy to take broken small heater off my hands for product design class to tinker with. theyve already had a broken CD/radio and a rechargable screwdriver that doesnt hold its charge. so that will be going tonight as DH can drop it off.

off to cross a few of these off my list while i have a coffee

LW you have my sympathies, I hate it when my scripts go missing or are issued incorrectly. But is a nightmare if I forget to check my meds box as all my stuff runs out at different times, so I often end up with things I have not asked for and don't get the stuff I need

And yes, mobile phone covers, what is the deal with them? I struggle to get them off too  it annoys me intensely that certain phones will take the SIM and memory card but won't recognize the phone book, and you then have to ask everyone for their numbers again:mad: no wonder you are worn out

Still waiting for HV, if she hasn't arrived or phoned me by 4 I will get on the road to TOWIE town to get my missions done before my GUAG turns into a CBA, as tomorrow I have to wait in for a delivery for the kids. :(
    All fun and games
The cold never bothered me anyway

Well I don't seem to have done a lot but been busy all day apart from taking 45 mins at lunch just to faff around on the internet as you do. I've done all my typing jobs bar 1, me and DH walked Pip in the morning sunshine (lovely), done dailies, school run .... that's about it really. Just about to head into garden for fix of more sunshine and clean out the chooks - we've got 3 new layers called Betsy, Tilly and Sweetie - can you tell which one DD named?! :rotfl:

Some of you have been really busy and putting me to shame. The beginning of the week is normally busiest for me so let's hope I can get my bum in gear again.

Lame Wolf I feel your pain re messed up prescriptions; so frustrating isn't it.

DH & I have chomped a long overdue frog and cleaned out under the sink. It was ..... yeaugh! We have a leak :( The plastic pipes etc seem to be leaking from all the joints  So we are now off to Ike@ to buy a new set (the sink was bought from there over 10 years ago, so assuming it will be the only one that fits) We may see Skinty there :) I will look out for you!!

So, it looks like it will be hotdogs & chips for dinner tonight :p

    Hello!

Much better nights sleep all round, and I was up and out before anyone woke this morning (including me, I think, yawn). DD has gone to nursery with her medicine, and I've not had any calls to say she's unwell, so all good there.

Dropped by crem on way home, would have been my gran's birthday today, so took her some flowers and had a little "chat".

Got home and got a cloth to wipe round inside of car doors and dash etc. gosh it was mucky! Little muddy footprints all in the back...

MIL has been busy keeping house, my laundry and ironing done, and house very tidy :A. Lucky me! She's even got some braising steak from my fave butcher mmm

Put some sausages on for tea, and I'll check who's picking up DD, either me or MIL on her way back from DS swimming lesson.

    Hugs all around (((((x)))))
