    Good afternoon :D

DH & I have chomped a long overdue frog and cleaned out under the sink. It was ..... yeaugh! We have a leak :( The plastic pipes etc seem to be leaking from all the joints  So we are now off to Ike@ to buy a new set (the sink was bought from there over 10 years ago, so assuming it will be the only one that fits) We may see Skinty there :) I will look out for you!!

So, it looks like it will be hotdogs & chips for dinner tonight :p

Hotdog and chips definitely on the agenda tonight :DGI Yes, look out for me, I will be the one looking frazzled with the baby with the healthy lungs :rotfl:
The cold never bothered me anyway
  • Back from a very enjoyable jaunt to Leeds! A long mooch in Primani resulted in some good purchases! And then a lunch trip to Costa. Well that was lunch for DD2..... I surveyed the options and made do with a cup of tea - nothing that was S/W friendly! So I bought a salad at M&S at Leeds station and ate it on the train home.......

It's turned out lovely again - all the fog has gone! Walked back from the bus stop with an elderly neighbour - glad I did because she nearly fell half way home - I managed to catch her thankfully!

Flying officically abandoned for today - I will catch up tomorrow!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

Will catch up wiv Fred asap, but am busy getting properly acquainted with my Bi$$311 - the very one I bought last year. I was so tee-ed off with the thing, what with all the faff, that I used it once and shoved it in a deep dark cupboard. Tbh, I didn't think it was any better at getting the carpets de-dogged than I was with a scrubbing brush and a drop of biological clothes washing liquid. Until today.

There is just something about four episodes of 'aroma de breakfasst yakked sardine' that requires the heavy guns. There is also a bit of a build up of emergency decluttering of tummy contents via the rear entrance, and 16 year old lady dogs with a touch of the inconsistencies that needed some serious rescrubbing.

I have to say the instructions for the machines and the various chemicals that the company sells are pitifully and totally woeful, but I happened to catch a sad person demonstrating said machines on an extremely sad-person shopping channel while I was feeling like a sad person myself a few weeks ago. I had no idea you were supposed to pass over the marks so many times.

So, now that it's finally stopped raining (after 18 months), I have been wielding the machine and there are bits of carpet that might be described as passably clean. At last. Hurrah!

From my superquick glance, I think it was Natty who said she'd been practising at dog-type carpet scrubbing recently. I hope said dog is better and you are able to practice gentler Flying.

T'riffic pic of Miss M, Bossy. I was gutted I missed it the other night, so thank you for reposting it. Must now flit back for a proper read from Page 1.
    Better is good enough.
  • oh to have the mind of a 12 year old boy

DS2 - can i have something to eat?
me - what do you fancy
DS2 - noodles and hot chocolate
me (joking) not together i hope
DS2 - no , one to eat and one to drink.
    slight pause
DS2 - that actually might taste quite nice as long as you don't put the oxo in.

    LOL
you've got to love them haven't you

    Busy, busy day.

DS3 loved his riffle shooting treat. This was instead of a birthday party. We took one of his closest friends who is going to India for a couple of years due to Dad's job. DS3 will miss him but they had a good day.

Dinner now and then tidy up before I try again with my report later.

DH stressed as FiL has been to the hospital for a chest x-ray and they have found a shadow, he has to have more tests. Keeping everything crossed.

Kaz hope DH got on ok at the hospital

Newbies welcome (sorry forgotten your names on my skim - coffeequeen?)

Only just sat down for the first time today and I'm off out again in 10 mins for a Theatre Club meeting to select the plays we will be doing this year. Hope there's a funny one as I don't think I can sit there for 2 hours with anything remotely serious :(

Dusty - sorry to hear things aren't so smooth for your FIL - it is a worry for everyone, but at least he's in good hands.

Welcome to all newbies - do what you can, when you can and don't panic - you get the chance to play catch up next week with anything missed this.

Just decluttering a cuppa before I summon up some vavavoom from the reserves. One of my employees rang asking for emergency help in the shop next Saturday and of course I said yes - the money is so helpful - although looking through my diary earlier, I noticed that as of this Sunday, I will be doing 13 straight days until my next day off. A lottery ticket may be in order this weekend!!

    Have a lovely evening everyone
