Well, have a mystery shop to do at lunchtime, but apart from that, no plans. Might pop into Plymouth and have a look around while we are there, but have no money so dont really want to be tempted by anything.
Have my bedding in the wash at the moment, normally do it on a Sunday, but the forecast for tomorrow is rain, so thought i would do it today (looks lovely out there). Will prob do some more cleaning as well - but first im going to watch Saturday kitchen, and then i supose i should get showered and dressed!!!

Good morning
All you tired/stressed out mums out there - remember to make the most of it all, they'll soon be all grown up and you'll miss them like mad when they fly the nest. It's just hard to keep remembering that at 3 am!
I've been doing some healhy eating and just cutting out 'picking' and I've lost 10lbs. Not enough for anyone to notice yet I don't think (I wonder if they ever will or if they are just too polite) Bit more to go yet I think.
Plan for today
Go shopping/bank early (OH ! it's already 10.00)
Finish [STRIKE]GCSE Coursework marking[/STRIKE]paperwork to send off
Take DS2 to museum to research a project - looking forard to that as I've not been for about 3 years and they have Victorian greenhouses
Plant hanging baskets
Have fun wih the little ones!:j :j :jDoing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
Good morning everyone , You do seem to be an industrious lot this morning. Rzl I can't believe you were up and about at that time in the morning .
Well I too have stacks of stuff to do today. mainly several washloads of clothes from my holiday. It looks a breezy day today so I already have one lineful blowing away at the moment, and another to go out as soon as the first one is dry. The forecast is not too good for BH monday which is a shame , but I have so much to do it's just as well.
Catznine; I had to buy another grip to bring all my crafting stuff home in ,it's so cheap with the dollar at almost two to the pound .We went to a store called 'Michaels' and also A.C.Moore's for some terrific stamping bits and paper stuff. There is also a store called the Dollar Tree ,a bit like our poundsaver shop and they do some great stickers as well
The only thing we couldn't find was tea-bag folding paper or quilling stuff it doesn't seem to be very popular there for some reason, also decoupage seems to be unknown, but there is tons of scrapbooking stuff.:j
I am starting my diet today as I seem to have had too many ben & jerry's over the last few weeks , plus my money needs to go on a bit of a diet too. No more holidays until August for me and it's belt tightening time in more ways than one .
My handyman came whilst I was away and made a good job of my back fence so the back of my house is now no longer open to the winds anymore .he's a lovely young chap and he is going to start laying my patio at the end of May for me .It will mean that there will only be half the amount of lawn to mow which will be good as my joints aren't very good with the mower much now .I will only have a small bit of grass about 12x14 left and I was considering having camomile sown there as it only needs mowing about once a month or six weeeks which would be even better .Has anyone tried camomile on their lawn and how did they get on with it? .
My brother lives in rural France and it seems very popular there as it cuts down on the mowing so to speak. also it's wonderful to walk on as it gives off a beautiful smell.
Well time I got a wriggle on and sorted out the pile of stuff sitting on the floor in the sitting room where I dumped it out of my cases. Take care and I hope everyone has a super week-end and <<<hugs>>> to those in need0 -
Morning everyone!
<<CrazyChik>> I'm really sorry things worked out the way they did. At least you know YOU did the right thing, and you will have nothing to regret later. Your ex is behaving like a child - I mean, he really doesn't have any emotional depth does he? It's all surface and knee jerk reactions, and all about him - no understanding or concern of others. Sadly its very common these days.
<<Stefejb>>You are so doing the right thing. Your daughter needs to discover for herself, and if you support her then she can do so openly. If it all goes wrong she can come back to you for comfort with no fear of hearing "I told you so".
<<samsam>> Do you have an NHS Walk in centre near you? I know someone gave you the phone number of NHS direct yesterday, but if you have a walk in centre I would go there. I've always found them very helpful...and you don't want to wait until Wednesday (how can they make you wait that long?!?!)
<<reverie>>You just can't help some people. IT's very dsad that's she's desperate to settle downh but keeps choosing men who will only let her down. I expect that deep down she doesn't have much self belief, ahe expects that her relationships will fail, then she chooses relationships which prove her right IYSMIM. She won't change until she realises and acknowledges what she is doing and decides she wants to change.
I'm sending lavender scented good wishes to the non sleepers, I hear its good for insomnia.
Catznine have a fab time in Florida.
Not much happening here OS wise. Will have a quick tidy through, declutter the reading material. and I think that's about it. My meal plan says its game bird pie for dinner, but i'm not sure what I fancy.
We've ordered a ceiling fan for our bedroom after finding that some of them really DO work when we were in NZ. Prior to that I thought they were just hopeless things that made a lot of noise and wobbled, but I was surprised to find it doesn't have to be like that. Anyway, OH is sorting out the wiring today ready. If it makes a difference, we might get one for the sitting room, but I'll wait and see.
Have a great day everyone xxx

Morning all.........still no news from the States, its a week today since she went into a coma............bet your life it will be whilst we are away, still her son knows we have no hope of going over, cannot afford it, but he knows that the family are in our prayers right now.
Up reasonable sharp this morning, have cooked a smoked ham joint in the pressure cooker, waiting for it to go cold before I slice it........sliced the bread I made, and tackled the bit of ironing, there will be a bit more on Monday when I do the white wash, it takes its chance as to whether it gets done or not.
Off to my friends this afternoon to once again, sort out her computer and put her right with her digital camera, drives me mad, has she never heard of reading the instructions?????
Am watching a hanging wall unitl on ebay, its local, will hang on the wall behind the sofa when the dresser goes, means I can have some of my stuff on display and not hidden in a cupboard. Carpeneter is coming 20th May....just after we get back...............joy of joy piles of washing and the carpenter!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH had a quick trip to Mr T's checked the oil in the car and it was low.....
Considering buying a sat nav system.......if I am driving on my own it would be a real boon and also when OH is driving would save the 'I told you to turn at XYZ' ..looked at the Tomtom one Europe yesterday........at just under £200 it seems like a good buy..........
I am very sad about the little girl who has gone missing, I know her parents will be feeling guilty, but am I the only one who cannot understand why they did not iuse the babysitting service........they may only have been 200yds away..but it was 200yds too far, and they are both Doctors.............I pray they find her safe and sound...........
I am off to finish my coffee.........it will soon be lunch time, just cheese and biscuits, gammon and tomato's with salad for supper.............
Take care all and have a good day...........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
